Why Downplay Injuries Mr Trump?

On second thought the remarks may not have been callous if they were meant to deescalate Us-Iran tensions.

Redline in ME was death of a US warrior and when it was crossed, 5 of millitant sites were struck, and when the embassy was beseiged, Soleimani was taken out.

Injuries are not the redline but they are very near it and they may invite pressure(especially if serious) to hit Iran, which would hit back leading to a vicious cycle and a full blown war.

Concussions are thought to be precursor to Alzheimer's disease, dementia among others, so while they may not be as traumatic as limbs blown off they certainly are not 'not serious'. They are far from just 'headaches'.

Bottom line is it is inconclusive whether Trump spoke in ignorance or strategically.

I wish the injured quick recovery.

Having watched the video, President Trump is making a distinction between soldiers who have concussions (which is serious) between soldiers missing arms and legs.

The two are not the same.

Could the the general ignorance of the devastating long term effects of concussions. For one, they were serious enough to have them airlifted to Germany, and as I mentioned they cause or trigger Alzheimer's. Would you say lost limbs is worse than Alzheimer's?

It was an act. The US was well aware of the intent to strike, the number of missiles and what bases. Why would I be disappointed by a play?

By no means would I try to minimize the effects of TBI. That being said, the President probably took his position partly because he didn't want to go to war with Iran over things like concussions.

The interesting thing is that I'm not a Trump supporter in general. However, I'm definitely not a Democrat supporter, and I'll take Trump over any of the Democrats.

That being said, fair is fair. I have no problem criticizing the President when I think he is wrong, but on this issue, I completely understand the necessity to downplay the injuries. Maybe I would have phrased things differently (which is my view on most of what the President says), but the strategic factors outweigh any concerns about wording.

Besides, it's not like the DoD is preventing the injured personnel from getting treatment as part of some conspiracy to hide the TBIs.
