Abortion is murder. What surprised me seems to be what is now hidden in science regarding the blood of the conceived child from the general public. The unborn has it's own blood just in 17 days after being conceived. Long before there is a heart beat.

    Leviticus 17:11, ". . . the life{soul} of the flesh is in the blood . . . ."

Genesis 9:5-6, ". . . surely your blood of your lives{souls} will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man's brother will I require the life of man. Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man. . . ."

I can't believe this is even a question on a CHRISTIAN forum.

It's murder. A sperm or an egg do not carry complete DNA for a human being. When they meet, that is the "moment of conception" that people refer to, because at that point the fertilized egg will, if not halted by fallen nature or the hand of men, grow into a full-size human being.

This may sound silly, considering I'm quoting a children's book/cartoon. However, I love to point out the line they repeat many times in "Horton Hears a Who": "A person's a person, no matter how small." My kids, from a young age, saw the obvious application there, though Hollywood missed it, or else they would have changed it.

It is wrong because it is murder. I guess the only upside to it is the fact it mainly kills future Democrats.

That's probably a statement or stance to place at the feet of the cross.

I'm brand new here, but I don't want people reading this thread in the future and thinking that nobody opposes such a view.

It kills children, siblings, future parents and leaders, and most of all, people for whom Jesus Christ bled and died.

Elective abortion is wrong because it is not placing your trust and faith in God. The Lord said, thou shalt not murder. Abortion except for saving the life of the mother is murder. But that murder is just the fruit of a greater sin, not trusting in the provision and blessings of our Lord.

First, many abortions are due to persons believing they must have sex to have a fulfilled life that is outside of the bounds of matrimony. That in itself is not believing that you can not have a fulfilled life unless you do it your own way. In those cases abortion is the same as David's sin when he killed Uriah. The murder was to cover up the adultery, which was also a sin that was the fruit of the greater sin of David's which was not having faith in God and believing God was who He said He is. Also David sinned against God by not being the Man of God that God created him to be. David was created to be the Man after God's own Heart from who God would bring the Savior of the World into the world through. In Psalm 51 David confesses that "Against you, you only, have I sinned. . ." Dwell on that statement a little. Do you understand how David could say this and be telling the truth. After all, he committed adultery against Bathsheba, murdered Uriah, and his children died because of the judgement on David from that action. Did he not sin against them too? David did not lie, he sinned against God by acting in a way that showed that he did not believe that God would do all he promised

David's sin was not trusting God. The fruit of his distrust was the adultery and murder. Sins in their own right, but the real sin was his not knowing that God was God and would do what He said he would do. And in a like manner, David sinned against God by not being the man that God made him to be. David did confess his sin and turned back to God but he paid a cost nonetheless.

Back to Abortion. Men and women who do not fully trust God are sinning against God by Not trusting God, that He is God. And that He can give them the best life if they will only follow His ways fully. Covering up having sex by abortion is the fruit of not trusting God. Aborting a baby because the parents don't believe they can take care of it or afford it is not trusting in God. God in his Word said He knit them in the womb. In the womb a person is a person created by God. To kill the baby that God in his word says is a blessing from God is acting in a manner that shows that the person involved does not have enough trust and faith in God. Because of their lack of faith they are willing to commit one of the most grievous sins. The sin of a parent being evolved in the murder of their own child. The real sin of abortion is what the parent is proving they believe about God. They are acting in a way that says, God is not Good. That He will not provide. That doing things His way is not the best way. It is saying I myself am my own god. . .

I am an optimist. I always try to find a bright side. The only bright side is that it has kept our nation from being solidly Socialist/Democrat.

I understand that many things go beyond initial appearances, but every sin, if you trace it back, is a sin of not trusting/surrendering to God.

To me, your explanation is valuable as a study on how David or others reach the point of murdering. Nonetheless, murder (whether of Uriah or of unborn babies) is a sin in itself.

As a person who has stood outside of an abortion mill, trying to share the Gospel and precious value of life with parents, while babies are being murdered inside, just 20 yards away, I do not share your view that killing babies has a bright side, and I find it disgusting.

I would rather live in a world where the most vulnerable people are not killed in what is supposed to be the safest place for them (the womb) than a country where there are fewer democrats. My love for Jesus, who values human lives and gave Himself to save ours, is infinitely greater than my distaste for others' social/political views.

Furthermore, some of those children could have become members of your local church. They may have prayed for you when you were sick or even visited you in your old age. They may have become pastors and missionaries.

I am anti against abortion. Have opposed it my entire life. Search my posts on here if you don't believe me. The irony of abortion is that the left has killed off the kids who would have given them a solid political majority.

I agree 100% with the article that it's murder. There's a bunch more to it to I'd say. There's the aspect of the father deserting his post of defending the child. There's the aspect of the nurturing mother becoming an instrument of death. The safe womb becoming a murder scene. It reverses so much of God's order.

It is ironic that the Communists sacred cow of abortion creates a situation where U.S born-again believers out breed the Commies and can perhaps eventually ban child murder in every state. It's a good example of God using even evil towards His ends.

The average Baptist, Presbyterian or Pentecostal has what, 5 kids?
The average Commie has perhaps 1, maybe 2 if they don't murder their offspring.

    Demographics clearly aren't favoring them...
