Why the shooter did it

IMO it looks like a parenting failure, as is the norm for most of these kinds of events. The story talks about how he lived with his grandparents. No talk of a father, or other man to steer him right and teach him to stand up straight, and grow a spine. If a mother and father have a child they ought to be parenting them.

I was bullied for years before my Air Force Colonel, a Vietnam Veteran, in JROTC taught myself and other young boys to stand up for ourselves and be men. A lot of times what these young men need is an older man to be their "drill sergeant" and "coach" to show them the proper outlets for their testosterone. We're working on getting a Trail Life troop in our Church for this exact reason.

I am sad for the murdered kids, and I am also sad for the shooter. His apparent lack of fatherhood or a family doesn't excuse his actions, but we can pity a young boy who grew up with a messed up family life. This shooting should make us all thankful for our fathers and even more so for our eternal Father who adopted us into His kingdom.

Cause nobody ever parented him…just another angry young man wanting to vent. The military doesn’t want that type anymore so he probably couldn’t get in if he tried. A Wendy’s job is about all he could have hoped for… and there you have it folks.

I could have been a contender….now all I am is a bum.

taken from the movie, On the Waterfront.

Demonic influence, which God allowed, resulting in the murder of these persons.

This is the sad state of our corrupt nature that we humans do not treasure each other as created by God for His glory. Instead, our corruption acts selfishly...so much so that we continue to resemble Cain rather than Christ.

Luke 13:1-5
There were some present at that very time who told him about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices. And he answered them, “Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans, because they suffered in this way? No, I tell you; but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish. Or those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them: do you think that they were worse offenders than all the others who lived in Jerusalem? No, I tell you; but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.”

The ultimate call is for all humanity to repent.

May God have mercy on the children and adults who were needlessly murdered.
May God take what is evil and turn it to reveal His goodness.

I am no mind reader, so I do not know what was in the mind of the school shooter in Texas. But we might derive a pattern of people doing the worst thing they can think of (killing 19 little kids) because of the notoriety placed upon them by the media. Note that at baseball games, they do not turn the camera on those that disrupt the game, as a ploy to minimize "glory seekers."

Greetings,

Are we as disciples of the Lord encouraged to be concerned with the wicked ways of the world? Are we not to keep our eyes focused upon Jesus, for He and His Apostles have taught us that the world will increase in Lawlessness.
Are we not instructed to be "simple concerning" evil?

Rom_16:19 For your obedience is come abroad unto all men. I am glad therefore on your behalf: but yet I would have you wise unto that which is good, and simple concerning evil.

Truly, what does it accomplish? Just as Noah obeyed the Lord and built the Ark which was for his protection from the Judgement that was coming upon the earth to judge the wickedness of the godless.

For Jesus is OUR Hiding place:

Psa 91:4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
Psa 91:5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
Psa 91:6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
Psa 91:7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
Psa 91:8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
Psa 91:9 Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
Psa 91:10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

Psa 91:11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
Psa 91:12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

May the God of our Salvation Be PRAISED!!!

The Lord bless you....
In His Love....
