I've noticed a few of the threads I have participated in and even started are given a short shelf life, shut down after a week or so. Yet, there are threads here that are years old.

Currently, threads are closed after they reach a minimum of 135 posts. This puts them well on to their seventh page. At that point, a Six Hour Warning is posted. Ordinarily, members are free to start a new thread to continue the topic.
