Wii Fit

Sooooo....

I'm thinking about getting a Wii for a family Christmas present this year.

If I get the Wii Fit Plus it will come to about $300

Does anyone have it?

Is it really a good exercise program?

Do you still use it a month after you purchase it?

We got it and honestly, it's one of the best video systems I've ever seen. We've been anti-video systems for as long as we've been married (the last video system I had was an Atari 2600) but we finally realized that this is much more active. We got the Fit and even the little ones try to beat their scores and we see the kids playing games together a lot. Even DH who is so inactive has fun doing the different things. I'd highly recommend it.

Some of the newness has worn off, and we have bought other games to work with the board, but Wii Fit woke me up, got me off 'the couch' and motivated me to lose 35 pounds since. That alone was worth the cost.

One funny thing is to do all of the set-up on the Wii Fit. You make yourself a "Mi" (me), choosing your hair color, eye color and shape, clothing, etc. You get it all cute looking - and then you step on the scale. Suddenly your little mi becomes a BIG mi. LOL Oh! And any mi that is made up becomes either fellow competitors or the audience cheering you along when you do the sports. It's fun to see the rest of my family cheering me on when I play tennis.

I know from personal experience that you shouldn't play Wii bowling on a hardwood floor in your socks.

I have to wait to get a wide screen TV before I can make my Wi!

This sounds great! We have been considering it for winters because we all get so inactive. Maybe we can spend our Christmas money on it. We'll see...

Do it! It's a GREAT family system. We have only 2 controllers but I think if we got more, we'd need a bigger den. LOL But the rest of us will sit on the couch and cheer. It's really fun.

We would love to have a wii, but then you have to keep spending more money for the wii fit extras, and games. if you get bored with the few games that come with it you will not continue to use it, it requires more money. But we'd love one, we just can't keep paying for it.

We haven't spent more money on it and haven't gotten bored. :)

The Wii Fit was a hit for Christmas.

I fell in love with it as soon as it told me my Wii age was 32. :tongue3:

My 18 y.o. daughters Wii age was 30.

So far it's more entertainment than fitness.
