Will the US control the Gaza Strip?

This is just a bad idea, imo. What happened in Leb. will happen here if we follow through. I hope Trump is just throwing out rhetoric and does not make this US policy.

I certainly hope not. The UN is pushing a 2-state solution, so the UN should rush into GAZA and restore PEACE and ORDER and INFRASTRUCTURE.

Israel has accepted a two-state solution EVERY TIME it was offered. Israel just wants the missiles from Gaza to stop firing at communities in Israel. The PALESTINIANS are the ones that have steadfastly rejected peace ... they just want to kill all the "Jews" and free the Middle East of Jewish presence.

Israel needs to permanently disengage and allow Gaza to supply its own water and electricity (or get it from Egypt).
If the UN cares about GAZA and Palestinian peace, then let France and Germany and Turkey and every nation that condemned Israel for defending itself send THEIR troops to Gaza to rebuild and maintain peace. The US can patrol the Israel side of the border to prevent Israelis from attacking Gaza.

Well, if the U.S. spends billions to rebuild it, they should control it, at least until we get our money back.

DT also wants to resettle Palestinians (about 2 million) into other countries. They are currently living in piles of rubble.

Peace to you

Why would we want to take any action? Why don’t we just let them kill one another? Let God sort it out.

"The Gaza Bluff: Trump’s Military Threat Is About Deals, Not War

Trump’s “Troops in Gaza” Threat Is a Bluff!

Here’s the Real Play!

Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, and the Palestinian Authority have shut down any attempt to relocate Palestinians from Gaza.

They’ve rejected forced displacement, demanded Palestinian-led reconstruction, and warned that any move to push Gazans into neighboring countries would destabilize the entire region.

So why is Trump suddenly talking about sending U.S. troops into Gaza?

It’s not about war; it’s about leverage.

•The U.S. has no real intent to launch a military operation in Gaza.

•Israel doesn’t want U.S. troops interfering in its operations.

•Arab states are holding the line against forced Palestinian displacement.

This is saber-rattling to force Arab nations to the table. Trump is creating a crisis to manufacture a deal likely involving post-war reconstruction, security guarantees, or a broader Middle East realignment.

Classic power politics: threaten chaos to get concessions.

The real question isn’t whether U.S. troops are going in it’s what deal is being pushed behind the scenes.

Trump would lose the midterm if we just “took over Gaza” through force. This is his effort to force more negotiation!

Is this a brilliant strategy?

What’s your read?"

They didn't. He is from Queens and acts that way. (Unfortunately)

DT is not a typical diplomat - he's a deal maker.
In the middle-east, truth is something to be used when needed.
The President is simply speaking the language of the people.

...but MAGAZA has a familiar ring to it.
