No, not a boxing fan.

Seriously though...I'll probably never go, if I stay in my current ministry. Summer's not exactly prime time vacation time for me.

I'm not much of a "convention" guy anyway. I'm not good with boring stuff, I'm not good with some of the "stupid conflict" that happens (like all the silly "resolution fights" we have no business doing), and (forgive me for my evil-ness), I'm not good with sitting long periods of time.

Having said that, I'm sure it's an important year...with the "great commission report" fight and the C/A fight that's coming.

Amen.

The older I become the more I dislike meetings of any kind. Almost always they are a waste of time.

If we are going to send money to the convention we need to be good stewards of that. Attending meetings and taking care of business is needful.

No, and never.

The annual convention is a waste of time and money that could be better used and spent. We spend far too much time showing people what we're against rather than what we're for. We could put the whole thing online with satellite site at each state convention and save amazing amounts of $$$$$ that could be used to reach people with the Gospel.

I usually schedule a missions trip every year during the convention week. It is a far better use of my time.

What do you mean by the "C/A fight"?

Even if I could afford it, I don't think I could convince my church to appoint me as a messenger. We don't really participate in SBC life.
