I am thinking that Obama is trying to be impeached, because if the GOP led Congress were to go after him with a request to impeach--and don't get me wrong, he probably deserves to be impeached starting with the IRS, NSA and Benghazi issues--we can write off any hope of electing a GOP candidate to the office of president in 2016 ... plus I feel confident in saying that an impeachment hearing would set off riots and racial tension like we have not seen before!
That is my opinion .... so what is yours, on the two points below?
1) Do you think Obama would like to tie up Congress with an impeachment hearing?
2) And do you think such a hearing would further divide this nation racially?
Personally speaking, I think the GOP can help their cause by working to get those 300 and some-odd bills stalled by Harry Reid, off the desk in the new Senate and to the POTUS for a signature, veto and subsequent Executive Order.
This is not the time--the next two years--to fight among themselves or with Obama, but to show a spirit of earnest effort to accomplish positive things for America. Things like bringing jobs back to America from overseas. Maybe getting the Keystone pipeline back on schedule. Fixing the economy, and getting tax breaks and incentives to businesses and citizens to stimulate this economy! And, last but not least, securing the border and providing illegals already here, with some kind of hope of eventually being citizens according to the law. Sure they are here, but they can still go to the back of the line, in order to keep families together. But no amnesty.
Even Obamacare can wait to be tweaked, once and if a GOP president is elected in 2016.
I think the new power given to Congress was given to give them a chance to do what Obama and Reid tried to stop over the last six years! :type:
