Windows update problems

Whenever I used to download windows updates, I could pause them at any time by right clicking on it and it gave me a pause option. Since I re-formatted my computer, and put it back to factory settings, I can download the updates but it wont let me pause them when I need to. Bear in mind I'm using dial up, hence why I sometimes need to pause them. Any solution?

Make sure you have "Automatic Updates" turned on. That will help you out a whole lot.
