    Is that good or bad?

Is it better or worse than the possible life prison sentence New York State can impose for selling marijuana? (The law is still in flux. As part of the Rockefeller drug laws, selling a certain amount got first time offenders a mandatory 15 to life minimum and 25 to life maximum, but that was appealed).

    Both, actually.

The mandatory 15 to life (same as for second-degree murder) for marijuana was successfully appealed and overturned. Over the years, bits and pieces have been repealed, appended and updated legislatively.

Talk about hypocritical. That muslim fundamentalist crowd is the world's largest opium supplier in Afghanistan.

Really? I had been under the impression that heroine & opium exports had declined under the fundamentalist Taliban and had surged since we ousted them.

Are you thinking Taliban approved versus not approved?

I am thinking that the Taliban did not approve of drug dealing and really disapproved of drug taking and that the warlords of the Northern Alliance get much of their wealth from the poppyfields.

If I've got it wrong, I'd appreciate a good source.
