Here are our nominees. I have set the poll so that you can vote twice.

I took the Rock off of our list since technically it is not a war film

I voted against Pearl Harbor!---although the nurses were kinda cute!!!

  4. Kind of cute? Kate Beckensale is absolutely gorgeous! I think I'm in love...the movie was quite bad though...

I voted against it because they made the "love" the main issue and not the pain and suffering of the many men who died in the tradgic event.

  6. Great point Kayla. It seems the emphasis of the movie was quite off.

I voted for The Conqueror. John Wayne as Genghis Khan!?!? [IMG] One of the worst movies of all time. Second pick is Pear Harbor.

And am I the only person on earth who liked Windtalkers?

    Kiffen,

Anything with the Duke is a good movie. ;)

Just because a movie is inaccurate and 'bad' historically does not mean that it lacks entertainment value. Some of the worst movies historically are still fun to watch. A good example would be the Green Berets and anything else with John Wayne.

John Wayne made some real stinkers. His John Ford films were excellent; a lot of the war films were just pathetic.

But your point remains; "Braveheart" is so wrong on the history, but a very entertaining movie.

Didnt see all the movies on the list so I didnt vote but Bridge over the river kwai is one of my favorites. I would choose anything by Oliver Stone to be as historically innaccurate as you can get.

I always watch John Wayne films when I can. Many of them feature funny fistfights where large, powerful men repeatedly pound each other in the head, with no major damage.

The war films he made are generally not very accurate, but still fun to watch.

We had an earlier forum where we nominated films for the poll. Many real stinkers were left out, but this is what we came up with.

One stinker that I was remiss in listing:

"Megiddo" from TBN. Ranks up there with "The Conqueror."
