$1300 a month, cheaper than I would've expected but no thanks. No way could I put up with being cramped together with all those people.

Yeah, I could. Get to see a bunch of places, food included, no utilities... Yeah, I could do it.

I have read, that those who do live on cruise ships will normally only use ship activities when the ship is in port.

and 1300 a month is not too bad - as "rent" no water bill, no HOA bills, most food is covered, as well as entertaiment, ect, ect

What do they do when at sea?

...it'd be ok to visit it, but I wouldn't want to live there. Luv my landlocked homestead.

What do people do on cruise ships while at sea? They wander about the ship, eat, visit with other guests, and gamble. I expect the shows would become repetitive after the first week or so. Then of course, they could read or listen to audio books.

That's not funny Van... FYI... My wife's brother is taking all of nineteen of us on an Alaskan Cruise July 11th, that he is paying for... All we have to do is get to the ship in Vancouver Canada which my wife's son has made the flight arrangements for the three of us among the nineteen that are going... But on my return I will go out of my way to pay Van a visit and tell him all about the exciting trip, he'll being dying to know... Yeah Van I know a joke or two myself... See ya soon my BB brother... Salty... Have you ever been on a cruise?... Eighteen years ago I went on my first one and I was 58 not a spring chicken but my wife and I had the time of our lives, in Alaska... Now fast forward eighteen years, still going to Alaska... I'm now 76 and she is 78 did we have fun?... Sure but going to and fro on a cruise ship was no picnic... We were in the middle and the complementary food was good but for breakfast we had to go to one end of the ship and for dinner the other end... It was a BIG SHIP and it was moving as you walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and walked, and yes their were elevators but there was walking too... A lot of walking, didn't need to go to the gym, the gym was the ship... Now would I want to live on one?... No way!!!... I want dirt under my feet... If I wanted water, this Marine would have joined the Navy... Brother Glen:)

Btw... The swelling in our legs have finally gone but it took two weeks to do it!

Not really. Some of us are scratching the money together to give the cruise line. Except we're uncertain how much to give them so they'll keep ya. Not sure if any one bank has that much money on hand, really. ;)
