Makes all the sense in the world to me. Just like the interceptions of the internet stuff the govt. has been doing.

 

Of course it does!

This is just another personal freedom Bush is attacking in the name of this so called, "War on Terror."

 

Are such tactics supposed to be brand new, or what? If you're old enough, you may remember in the late 70's that a teenager in Houston was arrested for calling the White House and threatening Pres. Carter's life. He made the call from a pay phone there (in Houston). If the feds are not, and have not long been, capable of finding out who we are and what moves we make, through methods which obviously "invade" our personal goings-on, how could they discover such things as that caller?

 

There is a huge difference between tracing a threatening phone call to the President - sort of an automatic, immediate warrant - and reading mail without a warrant.

 

If I'm not mistaken, this interception of emails was responsible for saving untold lives in the apprehension of info, foiling an attack.

What if that attack were aimed a Houston TH? Maybe the program saved you.

 

You pay the gov't to take your mail, and trust them. Do you honestly think George Bush is the first pres to do this ? How do you guys think Clinton got John Gotti in jail ? Or how they knew all about David Koresh ?
