    IN THE NEWS: YAHOO RIVALS LAUNCH SITE
    (San Francisco-AP) -- They're hoping that My-Way will cause
    Yahoo! to hit the highway. The businessmen who saved the Excite
    Network from the scrap heap of dot-com history are trying to
    launch a new site aimed at satisfying dissatisfied Yahoo! users.
    MyWay-dot-com is a new online portal that replicates many of
    Yahoo's most-popular features -- but with fewer ads, fees and
    privacy issues. So, how does My-Way-dot-com plan to pay its
    bills? It will accept pay-for-placement listings in its search
    functions. The company will launch radio and print ads starting
    today, with the theme "Yahoo is Toast."

    I just took a really quick peak at My Way and it looks alot like the Yahoo of old. Before they had all the ads and popunders. I think I will check it out a little more.

    I registered on MyWay.

    I like it. It's faster than Yahoo and no banners, no pop-ups.

    YAAAAAAAY! Bye-bye Yahoo ads, bye yahoo pop-ups, bye yahoo taggin' me with a zillion cookies...I'm so happy it makes me wanna...well, they kinda sucked the joy out my yahoo!
    They really are annoying, I finally quit posting on most all Yahoo forums after they did all that crud last year, I joined ONE recently just cuz it was a good forum, but that's it. Hopefully they'll move it now. [​IMG]

    Abiyah, you are not the only one who cannot sign in to that site. I tried with my computer, and although I used about 10 or more "usernames," with various combionations (including Hungarian language), I was told that those names are all taken (which is an impossibility). So, I gave up. I'll try it again tomorrow.... maybe.... :( :cool:

    Everytime I tried, when Ii had completed the
    form and tried to sand, I got a messsage some-
    thing like, "The page you are trying to reach can
    not be be opened."

    I sure would like to use it! 8o(
