Right now I am thinking I would take a concordance, most likely Young's, the one I grew up using

Right off, I'm thinking I'd take Spurgeon's Morning and Evening.

Are we being stranded on a desert island or are we talking about one study resource we'd just take to tag along with our Bible? :D

I would choose a good systematic theology (or maybe a commentary) text to help keep me from getting crossed up in my understanding of the Bible.

Would probably go with the systematic theology, perhap's Berkhof's.

Oh gosh. You're talking to someone who LOVES reading (I used to be an English major, but I can't spell worth a toot). I would have to say...oh...grr...I don't know. There are too many classics I adore to choose. If it was to be fictional I would go with Brian Jacques "Redwall" (an old fav.) and if it was theological I would go with my 99 basic Christian doctrines book (don't remember the author, Spurgeon I think).

That's easy. The Bible and the Nitpicker's Guide to Star Trek. And I only had one shirt to wear, it wouldn't be a read one ;)

Baker Encyclopedia of Christian Apologetics would probably be my choice right this minute. Next week it might be some other book. [IMG]

I'd take the largest Calculus textbook I could find. That way, no matter how long I was stranded I would have two books I would never fully understand. :D

    Hmmm....

    It would either be:

    1. "A Pirate Looks at Fifty" - Jimmy Buffett

    2. "All the Trouble in the World" - P.J. O'Rourke

    3. "Nearer My God to Thee" - William F. Buckley

or one of about 100 cookbooks I have.

The Bible and a Big Fat Romance novel. I hate
novels, and I especially hate romance novels.
This would assure me that my nose would be in
    my Bible. 8o)

Oh, I'd probably have all my books rebound into one gigantic book. Just a few stories high or so.

Okay, okay. This is a very tough question. I'm a bibliophile myself, and though I like the idea of a concordance, I'd probably skip it and choose Time Enough for Love by Robert A. Heinlein. Anything my Heinlein would be fine with me, though I would prefer one of the future histories over the juvenile novels.

I agree. I rarely read my Bible without a copy of Strongs around. Not that others are bad, but to me the easiest and best. It really helps you to understand your Bible better. I think a concordance is a must for anyone who can not read the original texts on their own. . . and possibly those who can. [IMG]
