I put this in the news and current event forum for a reason. Maybe the political forum merits the same understanding.
It's such a simple but profound statement to me. I was actually struck by it, though I understood this already. I had to pause for thought as to why it stuck me so hard. Is it possible to lose sight of theses things amongst all the commotion? For me it was and I wonder if it is not also for some of you.
These people, who hate us and want to hurt or even kill us, these are our mission field. The people who are morally insane, they are our mission field. The people who are part of these churches that have gone off the rails, even inspiring missionaries from other countries to come here to the U.S. Yes, it's that bad. These are our mission field.
I consider that simple, yet profound statement by John a going away present, of sorts. His ministry has guided me throughout my life and I am forever thankful.
