Posting this entire article in two posts, folks, except for a few links to books and other articles at the end of the write-up. And let me say from the outset, I am in full agreement with most of what Mr. Wooldridge has to say. All highlights are mine and not the original article's.

    YOU'RE DESPICABLE, part 2

    By Frosty Wooldridge

    NewsWithViews.com

Paul Cullinan of the Congressional Budget Office forecast an increase of $48 billion in federal spending on mandatory programs in the next decade.
Governor Owens said, “Convicted illegal aliens cost Colorado taxpayers $25 million annually…Medicaid births for non-citizens cost taxpayers $30 million annually…1,615 applicants for IDs couldn’t produce legal documents showing they were not legal immigrants.”

What’s despicable? Illegal aliens’ children costing Colorado taxpayers $564.1 million annually. Last year 271 hit and run accidents occurred in Greeley, Colorado. Three Colorado citizens suffered death at the hands of illegal aliens drunks and shooters. Aurora Mayor Tauer said, “My city pays more than $5 million a year for police and fire services to illegal aliens...$20 million goes for education of illegal alien children…finally, $10 million pays for emergency room care for illegal aliens at two Aurora hospitals (small city near Denver).”

Despicable stems from illegal aliens openly breaking our laws, stealing jobs from our workers, working off the books while paying no taxes, and sending $60 billion in cash back to their home countries like so many parasites. Weld Country District Attorney Ken Buck said, “Illegals slip through the cracks because of federal laws not being enforced…we must close the borders, Senator Allard.”

As for the lady who yelled, “You’re despicable!” I respond, “In a pig’s eye and you ain’t seen nothin’ yet.” At 6’4” in my boots, I’m a nasty, mean, agile, mobile, hostile, fierce, all American bad boy with millions of American neighbors ready to rumble. I’m a former over-the-road 18 wheeler truck driver as well as a math and science teacher. Three million of my truckin’ buddies will not side with you Miss Despicable! The term “despicable” is the least of your worries when it comes to millions of angry Americans.

When we finally fire up like an NFL football game against illegal immigration--your cute little Mexican illegal alien party may as well head south of the border where you can dance in your tortilla fields and fight for a better life by changing your own country by your own hands.

We speak English in America. (The big majority of Filipinos who come to America speaks English. With an accent, yes, but we very, very seldom need our 8 year olds to act as intepreters for us on the phone or in the mall--PB).

Multiculturalism sucks! We sit tall in the saddle. We speak up for our rights. We won’t back down. This is our country. We are the home team. This is our turf. We stand for integrity. It’s a long walk back to your country, but we’re going to make sure you exit ours. Come back and see us when you come legally. Like Tom Bodett says in English, “We’ll leave the light on for you.”

Hizzoner is upset about providing services to the illegals, but he's delighted to take their tax money. Imagine that. They don't pay taxes? No federal and state witholding from their paychecks? No property taxes (which is included in their rent), no sales taxes? The mayor wants a free ride from these people.

I was kinda intrigued by a "math and science teacher" who thinks Mexico has "tortilla fields", though. He's kinda typical of the wackos who hate illegals. Most likely, most of the illegals are doing more for America than he is.

I know we have to do something about the illegal workers. We can't just let them in like this. But I don't hate them, or want to hurt them. I'd probably be doing what they are doing, if I was in their position.

We need to do something. But violent revenge fantasies from sludge like this won't do it. We need action, and clear-eyed rational policies, not threats of violence.

And go one step further. Send the Mexican government a bill for it - say about $10,000 per illegal. Of course, they'd never pay, so, we should just withhold it from the aid we send them every year. Maybe then they'll stop the flow instead of encouraging it.

$10,000.00 would be a discount rate. But we could stop the aid in lue of rebuilding the many hospitals that have closed down around the country as a result of nonpayment from the undocumented illegal aliens imigrants.

I would be interested in seeing any checkable study that shows undocumened workers use more in government services than they contribute in taxes.

So far, it appears that the opposite is true. They are here only because it's profitable to have them here. If they were a drag on the economy, they'd be gone; no one would hire them, and government would be vigorously searching them out.

    That's the dilemma.

Sure they are a benefit. They benefit crop owners. They pay taxes on products and services they spend their money on. But they cannot pay for medical services. It is a fact that hospitals are closing across the nation. This is due to nonpayment. Most of these being in California.

Based on their illegal status alone means they dont pay into income tax or social security. Any contribution they make to our economy is eaten up by the limits of their illegal status.

Outside of the financial issues they shouldnt be here. Why? Because they are illegal.

Hold our President to the letter of the law (unless he lies about sex under oath in a federal court) but give other law breakers who create a national security problem a pass.

By being here, they are, by definition, criminals. Lock them up and put them on work gangs, then ship them back, and send Mexico the bill for their transportation. Most legal immigrants that I know contribute greatly to the economy, are fine, upstanding people, and they are not criminals by being here. Let these criminals follow the law as well. (Oh, and by being criminals, they are now inelibible to come here legally, so there's another incentive to behave!)

A friend of mine offered a suggestion that seems like a good idea: Let immigrants come here legally for a period of say, six months. Let them find a job, etc., then at the end of six months, if they have been working and paying their bills, etc., let them stay.

And the eonomy generally. The "evil capitalists" are actually doing good for society, even if they don't intend to. That's why capitalism works. Profit is not a bad thing.

Many can and do. Only the poorest us ERs as primary providers. Many have insurance through jobs and many others rely on traditional healers, and backroom pharmacies.

Dallas did a study of losses in its hospital system recently. They were shocked to learn that much of the losses were from non-poor American citizens from outside the county, posing as indigent persons.

You mean that companies have a separate process for illegals, and they don't withhold taxes and Social Security from their checks? Not the ones I know about. The only difference is, they never get to collect on all that Social Security money they contribute.

That's what I asked for. Some checkable numbers. Got some?

True, but it still doesn't support your argument. Got anything?

The American people have judged Bush much more harshly than Clinton, probably because they don't see a lie about sex as big a deal as a lie that kills thousands of people. Go figure.

So I gather you don't have any numbers to support your argument, then? :sleeping_2:

I'll tell you what you come up with some "workable numbers" for your fallacies and get back to me.

    Galatian, you said

You seem to think that illegal aliens work for reputable companies that withhold taxes. They don’t. They work cash jobs under the table. They work construction and agricultural jobs where they work undocumented on a cash basis. They pay nothing in taxes.

If they take a job at a real corporation under false paperwork it is usually discovered and they are dismissed. I know at my company we have had illegals come to work for us. Once the direct deposit paperwork comes through their social security numbers are verified and within a month of starting work their identity as illegals is known and we fire them. I am sure there are some states where it could take longer.

Illegals don’t work corporate and factory jobs. They work most often as subcontractors. If the pay is documented at all it is on a 1099 with no withholding. They use our schools and our hospitals and they fill our prisons. When employers hire them it displaces legal workers who do pay taxes and Americans are out of work.

Follow the law or change the law but don’t ignore the law.

    Almost . . . .

Most illegals (this would include American (USA) citizens evading taxes), work for cash.

But, their rent pays property taxes (just like everyone else) and anything they buy pays sales tax - it is the American way.

And ironically, many of them pay all taxes via a real or fake SS ID number . . . which they may or may not be able to get any benefits back on.

    Discrimination at the border

Discrimination at the border is the real problem and always has been.

Illegals become illegal, because legal aliens from Mexico are discriminated against.

We let muslims in from the middle east to take flight lessons without having jobs, so that they would bomb NY and DC. But, we don't want Mexicans to come in legal and work . . .

They see that as injustice . . . so do I. That discriminant cost me my job.

Let's put in a legal and workable system that does not discriminate against legal workers from Mexico - and get rid of the muslims that attacked us. The muslim attack cost our economy around $1 trillion. If the Mexican illegals cost us 100 million I would be very surprised (illegals do not like using public services for fear of being caught - this is a little different in Cali where there are so many activists trying to get the illegals extras).

I say get rid of the true aliens. Let the Mexicans work legally. And fire each and every border patrol guard that discriminates against a Mexican.

People come from all over the world and from many countries. To think that we discriminate against Mexicans is ludicrous. Lets not ignore that very many of them think they are here to retake a portion of America "back".

People do not do what is wrong because of how they are treated. they do it only because that is what is in their heart to do.

    BINGO!

But since a good many of them ignore zoning, health code, and local laws, by living with several households/dozens of relatives & friends, etc. in single family dwellings, their rent doesn't pay as much property tax as a person would think it would. And it takes a lot of jumping through hoops for landlords to try to evict people. Then there is the ever present Damocles sword of "discrimination" for the poor landlord. Federal laws prevent "discrimination" on the basis of race, etc., so the poor landlord can't nip it in the bud from the get-go even though he knows as soon as he rents to one, dozens of primary renter's friends and relatives will be moving on in within a matter of days to weeks. Bed bugs, virtually eliminated in our country at one time, have made a resurgence, and are getting to be a national problem once again. TB has made a comeback, too. Both related to illegal immigration.

This area I live in is full of illegals. In fact they are the majority with around 60% of the population. The reason for this is the orange groves. They live in housing I wouldnt put my dog in. The slum lords in the area barely keep the houses they rent together. The city counsel winks at these conditions because they dont want to run them off as there is a housing shortage in this area. Any where from two to six families will share a house. This zoning is largely ignored as well. Around here no one wants to nip it in the bud that can do anything about it.

    That was Puddycat.

Snagglepuss used to say, lispless, "Exit, stage left."

But I agree with your sentiment about pidgeon-holing.
