Why are so many Westerners, Americans especially, so prone to think Ukraine is a democracy and that Zelensky is a hero? Zelensky is a puppet that we installed because we did not like the person the Ukrainians chose in their own free election, Viktor Yanukovych.

Our country does this often. It happened in Iraq (along with the UK) in the 50s, in Guatemala before that, and in Vietnam. (In Vietnam we made a big claim of fighting for democracy. We were not. We were battling the consequences of our own undemocratic machinations from the 50s).
