Is anyone aware of any clinical studies/writings on this disorder? My internet searching fails to turn up any credible sources.

I tend to be of the belief that God used His own creation/natural rules of nature to bring about most of what unbelieving people would call "unbelievable" events in the Bible and that we can usually figure out the science behind it with enough study. It gives me a grin sometimes to find people bent on proving such events untrue by giving scientific explanations. I don't get why that doesn't actually strengthen their belief in the truth of the Bible!

Anyhow, that's the topic I'm interested in at this point in time. Insanity documented in the Bible and especially this case.

Most people do not believe he was turned into an animal, but went crazy and it grew like that because it wasn't kept.

Daniel 4:
33 Immediately what had been said about Nebuchadnezzar was fulfilled. He was driven away from people and ate grass like the ox. His body was drenched with the dew of heaven until his hair grew like the feathers of an eagle and his nails like the claws of a bird.

Drenched by the dew from heaven, must of been something in the water .

Dew

Numbers 11:
7 The manna was like coriander seed and looked like resin. 8 The people went around gathering it, and then ground it in a hand mill or crushed it in a mortar. They cooked it in a pot or made it into loaves. And it tasted like something made with olive oil. 9 When the dew settled on the camp at night, the manna also came down.

The manna didn't come from the dew nor do i believe the changes of Nebuchadnezzar came from the dew, but from God.

What if God gave them over to their delusion of what they believe we came from animals? That knowing that out of the billions, trillions I can't tell you how many different species on earth and none like us. That God created us special from every creature around us.

Not trying to "butt in: here...

Just wanted to add think that in the Biblical record, sometimes God directly intervenes and does do miraculus things. such as the burning bush, pillar of Fire in desert, but that at other times the miracle was that God caused natural forces to erupt JUST AT right time, as when He ordered up an earthquake to swallow those murmering against Moses!

So to me Both happened, God directly interves Himself, or causes/uses natural forces toa ccomplish his plan!

I am of the opinion that ALL miracles and phenomena are explainable. It just may be the case that we don't have the data or current understanding at this time to do so.

I am of the opinion that ALL miracles and phenomena are explainable. It just may be the case that we don't have the data or current understanding at this time to do so.

The one that comes to mind, that may be difficult (impossible?) to explain with natural laws might be the resurrection.

I meant that they were 'explainable' not that man IS or WILL BE able to do such with our current knowledge. It may require more than the currently known natural laws and it may be the case that it would require God's direct revelation.

No. I believe that many do, and those many far outweigh those that wisely see how God, who without there would BE no science, is not separate from it and that the studies of both go hand-in-hand. The Bible is packed full of science, yet so many who study science seem to believe God's written word is devoid of such.

God explains how he created the universe from nothing. It started with sound waves from his "voice." That is something! The chain of events from there most certainly had the capability to produce all the elements and to do so within six days.

The creation of females and raising Christ from the dead...both true miracles in that they cannot be explained by any science we know of, although I do think that with full knowledge, perhaps he'll be happy to explain how that works once we meet him face to face! That would be pretty cool.

Think that science and the Bible are able to co exist...

ITS just that in the past 100 years or so, science has done its best to supplant God and the Bible, and have it replaced by the cult religion of science, as IF there is no God, no Sin, saviour, that basically this is ALL there ever was/is!

Not the Chrsitian scientists, but the majority who are not!
