I just finished reading his biography. He was there, out of the Holocaust, when Israel began. He fought in 1948, 1967, 1973, and a number of times in between for his new country. He became a strong Christian during that time and he and his children still today are salt in Israel. The book, however, also gives an overview of exactly what has happened in the Middle East where Israel is concerned and where some of the other world's nations have positioned themselves at different times.

It is one of the best biographies I have EVER read and totally increased my understanding of what is happening in the Middle East today.

I cannot recommend this book highly enough.
