Not Christian news, but a well-known beard (I mean band member) from a well-known rock group passed away today.

ZZ Top bassist Dusty Hill dies at 72
The band announced Hill’s death on their official Facebook page, writing "We are saddened by the news today that our Compadre, Dusty Hill, has passed away in his sleep at home in Houston, TX. We, along with legions of ZZ Top fans around the world, will miss your steadfast presence, your good nature and enduring commitment to providing that monumental bottom to the ‘Top'.

I remember playing their "Thunderbird" at ear splitting levels, even before I knew what Thunderbird was. I had most of their albums and saw them a couple of times. I prefer the pre-"Eliminator" era, back when they were still that "Little Ol' Band From Texas" and not MTV stars. They could be pretty funny, too, as Dusty demonstrated with his recurring role on King Of The Hill, as Hank's bully cousin. Sorry to see him go.

You have to be of a certain generation to really appreciate ZZ TOP. Sad to see more of the greats passing. Had to stop and listen to Sharp Dressed Man and Legs. Great sound & lots of memories there.
I first remember knowing of them around 1972, when my older brother brought home this album:

My first thought was who is the world are these guys singing this stuff? Not many years later they would be famous.
