Four quarts?? That's a gallon, ain't it?? What in the world will you do with a gallon of Eggnog?? After about the third sip---it starts gettin' nasty!! and you know good and well Blackbird ain't gonna "spike" it!

Men go crazy when they shop. They have the mentality "more is better".

It will probably get pitched. We have gone through only 1 quart in the past week!

I usually only drink 1 cup on New Year's Eve!

Good morning!!!

I'm with Blackbird on this one...1 gallon of eggnog is really "over the top", IMHO! For me, 2 or 3 sips is plenty!!! However, my mom used to make a frozen egg nog salad...had marshmallows and fruit cocktail in it. That was really good, but it was really sweet, so even a few bites of that was plenty!!

Am drinking my coffee this morning and trying to figure out if I want to do anything "industrious" today, or if I just want to hang out and do nothing! Life is just so full of choices, isn't it??

Isn't there lyrics of that Broadwys show "Oklahoma" that talk about the wind keeps whistlin' down the plain like it's a GOOD thing?

Oklahoma,
Where the wind comes sweepin' down the plain
(And the wavin' wheat
Can sure smell sweet
When the wind comes right behind the rain)
Oklahoma!
Every night my honey lamb and I
Sit alone and talk
And watch a hawk
Makin' lazy circles in the sky.
We know we belong to the land,
And the land we belong to is grand.
And when we say;
Ee-ee-ow! A-yip-i-o-ee-ay!
We're only sayin',
You're doin' fine, Oklahoma!
Oklahoma, O.K.!

The Eyes of Texas are upon you,
All the live long day.
The Eyes of Texas are upon you,
You cannot get away.
Do not think you can escape them,
At night, or early in the morn.
The Eyes of Texas are upon you
Till Gabriel blows his horn!

CJ Hi, How are you ?

We have just been opening presents and taking photos. Rob has got quite engrossed with the present I bought him, ( the 2003 leather bound stamp year book) so I thought I would look in and say hi to everyone.

I will try and get back later as we haven't had dinner yet and it has been a long day.

I hope you all had a good Christmas.

Blessings

Sheila

</font>[/QUOTE]I saw a map of Texas.
On it were 6 OU flags.
the title was "6 Flags over Texas"
The six flags were located at the
home cities of the six Texas teams that
OU has defeated this year ;)

Sheila!! Welcome back!! I hope you had a delightful Christmas with your family!!! We missed you around here!!

Ed... my only consolation is that, with the exception of ONE (1) team this year, OU beat EVERYBODY they played...not just Texas teams!! So I'm in good company!!

HI All, I worked til 5:30 today but hubby and Nick came over and we went out to Joe's Crab Shack for supper. Nick got to play out on the playground there. He loved it.

Funny thing.... We're sitting at the Crab Shack eating fried oysters and I asked Jim what happened to the airplane game for PS2 we got for Christmas. We came home and found 2 games and a Chevron Car in a cabinet in our bedroom. I spoke out and mentioned it in front of Nick or we could have given them to him for his Birthday on Monday. LOL

Antiques galore! I was searching and looking at the Campell Soup Kids and they're $8.00 and up and the wooden and old kitchen pieces are $9.00 and up! I should go into business.

Good evening, Its great to be back in Naples. Our family spent Christmas in Ft. Lauderdale. I hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday season. I will be around the BB more often this coming year. God Bless everyone.

Diane - Collectables are big $$$, BUT . . you have to have a market. When hard times come, how many are gonna want a bowl of REAL soup instead of a wooden soup picture?

Mark - Welcome back! Cannot imagine anyone living in the heat and humidity of Ft. Lauderdale. We stayed at a resort there (pre cruise last March) and I would walk outside and sweat great drops of . . sweat!

Is the West coast of Florida a little more temperate with the prevailing wind structure?

(Edited only to correct typo)

Going to log off for tonight folks. I want to watch a good movie The Other Sister. I have seen it a few times, but I love it and want to watch it uninterrupted.

Pleasant dreams all!

All these t.v.'s and only one satellite receiver means I can watch football or talk to y'all... LOL

Yep, Dr. Bob! Pretty to look at, a lot of work to dust and not in MY budget!

Diane, we have cable (thankfully) which gives variety of lousy programs! Our friends that have a dish set theirs at night to tape 3 2-hour movies on their vcr. That way, when dad wants to watch football, mom can watch a video.

Works for them!

Yeah... I could go to the bedroom or rec room and watch a DVD or VHS but I'm a people person and would rather be with my guys and listen to them laugh and do their 'sports announcer' imitations than be alone. Nick is smart. He took his PS2 to bed with him and is SUPPOSED to be going to sleep but it's too quiet in his room. I'm SURE he's playing a game! LOL
