COMMON GROUND COFFEE HOUSE #71

That would be a bad idea. No one can take Cheryl's place and it would only frustrate the cat.

Morning all:

Been up as usual since 2am. Not too bad, I guess. Haven't gotten much done. It's cold here. 37 and only going to get to somewhere between 40 and 44. It was 73 just a few days ago. It's also raining here, and was raining when we left to go to church last night. When we got out, there was some sleet coming down, but it didn't last long and turned back over to rain.

Gib, don't even CONSIDER getting a kitty! LOL Ever tied a firecracker to a kitty's tail? ;)

I did duct tape some roman candles to my feet. There's more enjoyment shooting them at someone, opposed to shooting them in the sky.

Morning all. I'm late getting online. I have Jack as well as Ty this morning and his birthday was yesterday. His mom brought a plastic golf set for the boys to share. Well THAT'S not going to work with a 2 year old and a 3 year old! SCREAMING mine, mine, mine! MY TURN, MY TURN! I finally took it away from them both. They're eating cereal and watching Max and Ruby now.

Spring is here. It's raining every day and in the forecast every day for the next 10 days or so. Today is supposed to hit almost 60°. It was very foggy when Jim left at 6:00.

Hope Brent feels good today, Sue. Glad he slept well.

Tony, you and Viv okay now? Gib, Cheryl must be over her sickness if she and the boys are heading to Disney!

Cindi, how's Bitsy healing? Her throat still sore?

Bro. David, Roman Candles to your feet? Shades of Road Runner????

So, our Wednesday night things start at 5:00 with choir for the kids. AWANA starts at 6:20- 7:40 (Cubbies get out 10 mins. earlier) and Prayer Meeting is 6:30 - 7:30. Adult Choir 7:30. Youth Bible Study 7:30. Handbells 7:30.

I saw that on the news late last night Debby. Maybe this will be your last snow of the year.

Good Morning all!

Have a good day without us Sue. I hope Brent is feeling better. I'm with him, I love going to to the second hand shops.

Thanks for asking Diane, after a couple of rough days that I wasn't expecting, Bitsy is feeling much better this morning and has a smile on her face. We've already baked today's cake and she did most of the work. Cake is one of the few things I have been able to get her to eat. She won't touch ice cream or popscicles. I'm going to hate looking at the scales and seeing how much weight she has lost.

I have a bazillion things to get done today. The kitchen bred dirty dishes last night so I expect to spend quite a bit of time in there. Then I need to spend some time at the sewing machine.

See ya'll later.....

Well the 2 and 3 year old are still fighting today. The 2 year old goes to day care the other 3 days at a nursery and must have learned these new behaviors.

Good morning to all. My chickadees are still not up to par. The 2 year old - I thought was better. No fever today, but then she started throwing up. That has stopped now, so maybe she's on the mend. The 4 year old seems to be feeling ok, just has a lowgrade fever. We stayed home from auerobics and ballet today and cancelled piano lessons, so its gonna be a lazy, getting well day.

Diane, it IS aggravating when they fight like that. Hope you still have hair at the end of the day!

Its been overcast this week, but the weather is warm. We flew kites Tuesday.

Tater, Jack leaves in about 45 mins. so things will begin to calm down. I think they started off on the wrong foot because of the sharing issue with the golf toys. Mom brought enough for them to share but there was no way Jack (2) was going to share! It's been downhill since. Ty (3) pushed Jack down a few mins. ago because he was standing in front of the t.v. Jack's into the 'my' stage and he walked over and pounded Ty on the leg saying 'my shoe'. Ty doesn't even have on shoes so don't know what THAT'S about. Full Moon!!

His mom got here early and he threw a constant fit for about 20 mins. She was shocked. He's just started this other child care place on Mon., Wed., and Fri. where there are 2 teachers for 20 two year olds. Jack's Dad told her last night that Jack was out of control but she'd not ever seen him act like this.

He even screamed at HER and hissed and growled. Her eyes were so wide. She said he acted like he has rabies. She had to hold his arms to keep him from hitting her with his 'golf club'. He shook his finger in her face screaming 'don't don't don't!' I suggested she go early and observe tomorrow or show up early to pick him up and watch without the children seeing her.

WHEW........ one down and 3 more to go! I have no one tomorrow.

Boy Howdy on another bright and beautiful Thursday morning! Every day above ground is a good day for me!

Will stop by later when I have time to hear the latest organ recital.

[NOTE TO GIB: I often try to hug cats. Very tightly, around the neck . . ]

Cheryl is still under the weather. She took a group of girls from the school for a singing competition. The boys are with me. They wanted to go.

Dr. Bob, I think I may try hugging a cat.

Ah! I thought you meant they'd taken a trip to Disney and left you behind.

Well, the snow is REALLY coming down now! But the streets are looking just wet, not snow covered. Just got notification that they're closing the office at 3:30. I guess they're afraid it will freeze up. Trouble is, since I'm a consultant, if I want to get paid for a whole day, I've either got to stay until 5, or go home and log in over the phone and keep working. It's only 2, so we'll see how it goes. Home is not a good climate for me to work in - husband, daughter, cats, etc.

See, Debby....CATS....they're NOT good! And I agree with Gib and Dr. Bob...I'd love to hug a cat right around the neck! LOL ;)

Diane, Viv and I are doing better. She volunteered to work tomorrow for six hours. Guess that's a good thing. It will be overtime. Still can't get everything in place here, though. We've never taken this long to set up a house.
