Tony, glad you got that problem straightened out!

Menaferie, I think Sue has got your rain.

Good Monday afternoon, folks, we had a good Missions Conference. It is good to meet God's servants that give up all the conveniences we have in thid country to carry the Gospel around the world!

That's something at least, Tony! I know you are glad to have it fixed.

Funny how our folks managed to survive without indoor plumbing most of their childhoods and we can't last a day!

Poor Chips, you're in for it now. You should have just let us wondered.

Wow, Tony! I'm SO glad that's fixed! We were quite concerned for you. Believe it or not, I THINK my clean out is in our garage!! I've got a sump pump in the downstairs but there's a capped pipe in there that I have no idea what it would be for!

Jim's gone to get some wormer for our cat. I thought she was getting fat! Found a worm today. If Jim had seen it, he'd want to MOVE OUT! LOLOL

That one may be to clean out you basement drains(whatever pipe your sump uses to carry out the water). Then again, it could be your cleanout. But eew, I wouldn't want to imagine it overflowing into your garage!

Yuck, cat worms are the worst! I'd move too! Didn't the pound worm her before they gave her to you? Probably not. I've gotten animals both ways.

I just assumed she'd been wormed since she'd been spayed and had all shots except rabies! Poor kitty has such a fat little belly. She doesn't have any fleas that I can find but that's who they get them.

Diane: Ya better leave it alone. When we bought our first house, there was a drain in the basement (where the wash was done) and it had a bowling pin stuck in it. This little village did not have city sewerage or drain pipes.

I would take the bowling pin out when the washer needed to drain. I forgot to put it back in one night and we had a gully washer.

The whole creek ended up in our basement! That's where the wash water went when it was emptied and where the creek came in when it wasn't put back in place!

LOLOL I also have a LARGE drain floor in that area of our garage work room. I assume that's in case the hot water heater burst.

When we lived in Connecticut, our basement flooded once. What a horrible mess! We lived up high on a hill too!

It is funny now, but it wasn't then. The house was in 'tornado alley' and I had put chairs, a picnic table, books for the kids, candles, jugs of drinking water, etc. in the basement.

You guessed it. The sirens went off and we headed to the basement and could get no further than the top step!

Everything I had put down there was floating around in five feet of water.

GRACIOUS! We quickly learned to make sure the street drains were kept clear!

Well supper's done and the cat's had her medicine. I'm already sleepy. I really think all the sleep and the flu shot is what kept me from getting more sick. I've got a church meeting tomorrow night from 7 til 9 p.m. Hoping I can slip out early tho.

I am tired tonight too. I've been up since 3:00 this morning. I felt a little better today so I tried to do too much.

I am turning in and watching TV in bed until I fall asleep (I hope for the night).

Pleasant dreams all!

We have a dirt floor in our basement. So when the water or whatever gets in the basement - it seeps out sooner or later - but it does take a while before it stops being muddy.

I didn't drink as much as I normally do for the 24 hour urine specimen. But I donated a gallon anyway. If I drank my usual - I'd have had to had a second gallon bucket!

Is that TMI?

Good morning all:

Well, Dan. They say you're not poor as long as you've got a window and a bucket!

Had a restless night and have to go back to the corner this morning. Still coughing a lot, but I think I feel better. Not sure yet.

Cruising,

Good morning everyone;

Dan...YES...WAY more than we needed to know! LOL

Sue, glad to know you're feeling better, or at least thinking you are.. ;) Also, thanks for the humor yesterday! Viv got a kick out of it, too, when she got home.

It's going to be cooler here today than yesterday. We actually hit 70 here. Today, it's supposed to barely get to 50.

I've been up since 2am when Viv got up. Drank 2 cups of coffee this morning, and probably am going to put on some water for some tea this morning. Might eat an English muffin with it. I cut back on my diabetes meds (they went up over $15.00 per month this year) by one pill per night, and my blood sugar is higher this morning, 123 after the fasting of the evening. It's been runing in the 90's in the mornings. I may have to go back to 3 whether or I want to or not! :( But, I thank the Lord that even though the cost has gone up that we have medical and RX insurance, and that eventually my diabetes meds/strips/lancets will be covered by Medicare...usually towards the end of the year after my deductible is met.

Have a great day, all!

Morning everyone. I've got Jack this morning too so stuck in the room with the little ones. They're watching t.v. and eating their breakfast.

I woke at 1:00 a.m. and didn't get back to sleep for a while. Not sure why. I'll be tired this afternoon.

Glad everyone else is a little better and hope Cheryl doesn't get very ill.

Good morning all. I have been up for awhile, went and played basketball for an hour this morning. Now getting ready to start my hour with a young man I am doing an internship with through our local school. He comes in 2 days a week and learns the ins and outs of ministry.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Sue called a few minutes ago. Her computer died and she's too sick to go out and buy one today. Her daughter has offered to bring her's over but not sure when she'll be able to do that. Sue's just too ill to go to work today afterall. She sounded awful! I didn't recognize her voice. Let's pray for her quick healing.
