In my opinion, Clinton took the job of President as a lark, simply somthing to put on his resume. Bush takes it seriously.

Besides that, Galatian, do you remember that pesky thing called the "War on Terror?" Remember that thing about planes flying into buildings and all? That might just have something to do with Bush's stress level. I mean, I know it doesn't fit in with your "teh bu54 is teh bad!!11!!1" ideology, but it is a consideration, nonetheless...

Yeah, and we might have staged the moon landing in Arizona.

You aren't helping your case by being silly, poncho.

I don't look at 9/11 as silly. I don't take the "war on terror" as a joke either. Matter of fact I don't take the detruction of our republic by global socialists lightly either.

Neither did Zbigniew Brzezinski, the CFR, and the Project For A New American Century. When they planned it some five or six years ago.

Having downgraded terrorism to "not a priority" (according to FBI witnesses at the 9/11 hearings) I have no doubt Bush is feeling a little stress post-9/11.

The fact that he was sold the war on Iraq by neocons who said it would be over quickly, few casualties, and Iraqi oil would pay for it all, might have a bit of an effect on him, now that he realizes that the war is nowhere near over, that more and more Iraqis hate us, and that it's a huge drain on the treasury.

Oh, and the realization that his pal Chalabi, who was welcome in the WH, used that trust to learn about our decoding Iranian messages, after which he told them about it, might have something to do with it.

Not to mention the still-unresolved scandal about which of his people outed an American CIA agent.

No wonder he looks and acts fuddled.

Not to mention all the lawsuits he has to fight now, and the international tribunals that have convicted him of warcrimes and crimes against humanity.

I think all that would age a fella pretty quick and put them into a severe state of um, perplexion.

Gee, hardsheller, you should write for Fidel Castro, you sound just like him.

Every time someone says something he doesn't like, he tried to associate them with things he hates, too.

You could be his speechwriter.

If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck then it must be a duck right?

Politics makes strange bedfellows. Does Michael Moore Snore?

As Fidel might say, "doublegood duckspeak, hardsheller."

You would make a good speachwriter for him.

Politics makes strange bedfellows.
The extreme right and the extreme left have more in common with each other than the middle. Hence neocons.

Grasping? Maybe you don't know the philosophical roots of neoncon politics...

http://www.lewrockwell.com/dmccarthy/dmccarthy23.html

The people now running the GOP have a pedigree that goes back to Uncle Karl, not uncle Sam.

Neocon Godfather Irving Kristol:
"I regard myself to have been a young Trostkyite and I have not a single bitter memory."

Why do you think the US is acting like a latter-day Soviet Union right now? It is because the neoncons have adjusted the Marxist notion of "historical necessity" to imagine imposing democracy by force.

From the same site:

"It's also worth noting that the neoconservative preoccupation with exporting social democracy abroad through war and mercantilism reflects the original split between Trotsky and Stalin. Trotsky argued that there could not be "socialism in one country" but rather that the revolution had to be truly international. And so the neoconservatives push for "human rights" and social democratic governments to be imposed on Serbia, for example, by force of arms."

There's a lot more, on many other sites for those not too blind to see. It's not Barry Goldwater's party anymore.

Who cares about your opinions and the opinions of these other quacks?

I'll take Bush and all his Neocon buddies rather than align with the likes of Michael Moore.

Why should you care? Because you're supposed to be an American. These "quacks" are the guys who founded the policies being pursued by the president of the United States. That's why you should care.

Forget Michael Moore. He's a leftist ideologue with no real power. Irving Kristol, his disciples with their Trotskyite philosophies, those are quacks you should be worrying about.

They are running things, and America declines.

Galatian,

You've been brainwashed. I really don't care what Lew Rockwell and his cronies are saying.

I'm not a Libertarian nor do I espouse Libertarian ideals so why should I listen to them?

So you don't like Michael Moore? Well stop sounding like him!

America Declining?

Maybe so in Texas but not in Missouri where I'm living. I've better off now than I ever was in the 90's, even while I'm paying $2.00/gallon for Gas.

Listen to what your founder is saying. He says he was a trotskyite, and he's happy about it. Forget Rockwell. It's no secret that Bush's advisors consider Kristol an intellectual father figure.

The perfectability of man works no better here than it did in the Soviet Union.

I was somewhat tongue-in-cheek about your affinities to Fidel. I meant mainly that your style is like his. You should avoid Marxist ideas, no matter how they are dressed up.

So you don't like Michael Moore? Well stop sounding like him!
Frankly, you sound a lot more like Moore, than most people here. Moore, as you might know, is a leftist. He isn't mad at Cheney and Rummy, and those guys for having a Marxist philosophical outlook; he's mad at them for wanting to keep the goodies limited to a few people.

America Declining?
Yep. Deficit rising, real income declining, good jobs going overseas, minimum wage jobs replacing them, our old alliances falling apart, crime rising...etc. You think those are good things?

Maybe so in Texas but not in Missouri where I'm living. I've better off now than I ever was in the 90's, even while I'm paying $2.00/gallon for Gas.
How nice for you. Real income has declined in Missouri. Crime is up. And, if it's following the national trend, there are more abortions.

You think this is good? No wonder you like Bush.
