Geneva and Psalm 68:11

Here is a reading from the Geneva that is same change as the new versions.

The Lord gaue matter to the women to tell of the great armie. - Psalm 68:11

Previous versions had 'host' or 'company' or 'evanglists.'

Host and army seem to have been used as interchangeable synonyms in the pre-1611 English Bibles and the 1611 KJV.

At 1 Samuel 28:1, the KJV substituted "armies" where Coverdale's, Matthew's, Great, and Bishops’ Bibles have "host." Again the KJV replaced “host” in some of the earlier English Bibles at 1 Samuel 17:8, 10 with “armies“ and at 1 Samuel 17:22 with “army.” Coverdale’s “host” (Deut. 20:9) was changed to “army” in Bishops’ and to “armies” in the KJV. The Bishops’ rendering “host” at Judges 9:29 was revised to “army” in the KJV. “Great army“ was substituted for “exceeding host” at Isaiah 36:2 in the Bishops’. The KJV changed the rendering "host" at Luke 21:20 in Wycliffe’s, Tyndale's, Coverdale's, Matthew's, Great, and Bishops' to "armies." Where Wycliffe’s has “hosts” (Matt. 22:7), the KJV has “armies.“
