I thought it would be fun to remember some celebrities who are still living.

Zsa Zsa Gabor (2/2/17). Zsa, she of multiple marriage infamy is 97.

Kirk Douglas (12/9/16) Yes, father of Michael, old Spartacus himself is 97.

Olivia de Havilland (7/1/16) She's a favorite of mine. Her role as Melanie in Gone With The Wind is classic. Did you know she teaches Sunday School in a church in France? She just became 98 last month.

Irving Benson (1/31/14) was on Carson's Tonight show a lot. Benson was one of the last (if not the only) Vaudeville performeer still alive. He's 100.

And the winner is...Luise Rainer (1/12/10). I will always remember her role in the movie The Good Earth. She was very convincing as O-lan. She is 104 years of age.

Did I miss anyone?

I always liked Greer Garson----Good Bye Mr. Chips.....But she is pushin up daises.....But what Diction!!!!

Wow, Spartacus is still alive. I didn't know that. I was probably 6,7,8 years old when I first seen that movie.

How could I have forgotten Maureen O'Hara? She was born on 8/17/1920. She's in the middle of her 94th year.

Some of her notable movies were How Green Was My Valley and The Quiet Man with John Wayne. She made other movies with him. She even made a movie with John Candy (a favorite of mine).

ONLY THE LONELY was the movie.

I think he once played the role of George P. Shultz ,who is four years and two months older.

Patrick Macnee, famous for the British TV series of the 1960s --"The Avengers" is now 93 (2/6/1922).

Abe Vigoda : He's 94 (2/24/1921). He had that show called Fish.

Joseph Wapner : He was the judge for many years on People's Court. The man is 95 (11/15/1919).

Gloria Vanderbilt : She's the actress/author/socialite and mother of Cooper. The Vanderbilt name is synonymous with wealth. She has attained the age of 91 (9/3/1924).

Well, Jayne Meadows, who I had mentioned in an earlier post, just died at the age of 95.

Marjorie Lord, who played the wife of the TV character Danny Williams (really Danny Thomas) in the show Make Room For Daddy is coming up on her 97th birthday (7/26/1918)

Nanette Fabray who most remember as a panelist on Hollywood Squares, is 94 (10/27/1920). She's the aunt of Shelly F. who played the daughter on the Donna Reed Show.

June Lockhart (6/25/1925) will soon be 90. She starred in Lassie as mom, and in Lost in Space also as mom.

Cara Williams (6/29/1925) will be 90 a few days after Ms. Lockhart. She starred in the TV show Pete and Gladys. She was in the mold of Lucille Ball. I remember a silent skit she did with Red Skelton. She could do drama as well as comedy.

Zsa Zsa Gabor, the Hungarian actress...died Sunday in Los Angeles. She was probably 99.
