If I am hand copying a King James Version by hand and make a mistake, the copy that I made will have a mistake in it. If I am Typesetting a KJV and make a mistake, it will have a mistake in it. If you and I are copying a Greek New Testament Manuscript by hand and we make a mistake in copying, there is an error. Of course we can proof read our work but some errors are going to get by us.Hello,

Printer errors. New versions intentionally remove stuff.I am assuming this thread is intended to be humor. If the 1611 translation was inspired and perfect, then the subsequent revisions introduced error. If a subsequent revision corrected an error, then the 1611 was not perfect nor inspired.
Rather than accept this truth, the only-ites obfuscate.
No serious bible scholar would think the original autographs have undergone transmission without the introduction of error. The premise that the KJV 1611 version was without error is not to be taken seriously, only sadly.I don’t think Calvin claimed there were “errors,” but rather he recognized the presence of textual variants, as would be the case with any serious Bible scholar.
I am not sure you are addressing me but if you are, please stop addressing my bad behavior, in your opinion. Such argumentation is a well known fallacy. You seemed to be saying Calvin view of scripture was heresy. He was certainly wrong sometimes but perhaps not all the time. I enjoyed glancing through a set of his commentaries. Why do you always inject irrevlant stuff to my threads?
I was saying Calvin said scriptures had errors.
No, its not. Here, from the internet is one person's view of the KJB-PCE:
By the term Pure Cambridge Text, I refer to a perfect King James Bible as it was printed between the end of WWI and until 1985, but is now being printed by Church Bible Publishers. If you were to look at the English Bible on a pulpit in heaven, it would match exactly. Every word, every letter, every punctuation mark, every verse marking, every italicization, and every subscript and title would be exactly what God the Father thinks of when he considers the English Bible.
From my side of the street, this view is irrational nonsense.
PCE is 100% error free.
No, it's NOT ! It has the same goofs & booboos as any other KJV (NOT"KJB") edition. Shoot, you can't even get by the "Easter" goof in Acts 12:4, let alone any other. Your KJVO myth is phony as a Ford Corvette.1611 had errors. No, this is not humor and the pce kjb is perfect.
That is your human opinion. You seem to be saying that the KJV was not perfect for its first 300 years.the pce kjb is perfect.
The errors and printer errors was due to its primitive technology. That is your human opinion. You seem to be saying that the KJV was not perfect for its first 300 years.
There are inconsistencies and imperfections in the claimed PCE. The PCE does not have perfect present English spelling of all its English words. In some places, a KJV edition other than the claimed PCE is better, more consistent, and more accurate.
Calvin should know better not every 'kiss' is the same. The Bible versus John Calvin
Bible order of events (Genesis 29):
11 And Jacob kissed Rachel, and lifted up his voice, and wept.
12 And Jacob told Rachel that he was her father's brother, and that he was Rebekah's son: and she ran and told her father.
Nope, Calvin thought he knew better, and informs us that:
"Jacob did not kiss Rachel till he had informed her that he was her relative." (Calvin's Commentary on Genesis)
It would be helpful if you could quote what Calvin actually said or wrote. It seems highly unlikely that he said that God's word has mistakes in it. Are you sure he wasn't referring to a translation of the bible?Hello,
