SBC launches voting initiative in view of 'critical' '04 ballot

IMO the convention is not charged with voter education, and should therefore get out of the business. It does not surprise me that some of the information is misleading.

The site iVoteValues.com launched yesterday. I noticed they had Bush, Kerry and Nader listed on the "Whos Running" page, when I contacted them about adding Peroutka, they responded by removing Nader, and adding a link to "Other Candidates" that has Nader and Peroutka buried in a list of 200 other candidates who will never see ballot access.

Does the SBC want Christians to vote based on values and principles or just vote for Bush? Contact them and let them know that they need to add Peroutka to the site to let the Christian voters know about him.

What a shame. Their news service, IMO, is also shamefully misleading in its slant and selection of news stories in favor of Bush.

What ever happened to Christians having respect for truth, honesty, and integrity?

I found out that they are using the candidate database from CapWiz and they have a link to FoxNews for Candidates Values.

Capwiz Election powers much of the election services for some of the nation's largest media, portals and corporate sites, including America Online, Yahoo!, MSN, USA Today, the New York Times, and the Los Angeles Times, as well as more than 1,000 other organizations.

I called both FoxNews and Capwiz today and will be working with both to update their sites with Michael Peroutka's information.

Hats off to you, friend, hope it works out!

Michael Peroutka is now in the CapWiz database:

I just went to this Southern Baptist Convention, or should I say the Republican Baptist Convention website. Shameful!

PJ, you asked, "What ever happened to Christians having respect for truth, honesty, and integrity?"

I don't know, but for sure it isn't found in the SBC.
