Knowing the doctrinal difference between the terms "Kingdom of Heaven" and "Kingdom of God" is the key to understanding the complete time line of Biblical history past, present, and future, the proper place of the Church, and the prophetic future of Israel. The Bible is about the struggle for a Kingdom; the Kingdom of Heaven, a Kingdom with its Capital City (Jerusalem) on this Earth.

This is one of the most hated and least understood doctrines of the Bible, yet one of the most important in rightly dividing the truth; the separation of Church doctrine from Tribulation doctrine. *Some churches do not want to hear this, because they think that the Church has replaced Israel. Certainly the whole world reviles at the prospect of hated Israel becoming the head of the Kingdoms. There is a hatred of Christians and Jews on a spiritual level that is beyond their own comprehension. Satan hates the Jews, and the world is under Satan's control. Hate and envy are the root reasons the word "now" is removed from John 18:36 in some translations. The world does not want the Lord Jesus Christ to return and rule over them. That is why the Jews killed their King the first time He came.

Because the Lord used the terms "Kingdom of Heaven" and "Kingdom of God" interchangeably in places in the four Gospels, most Christians think they are one and the same. They will be, but not until the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ when He rules the world for a thousand years on the throne of His father David (His father in the flesh, His human side) at Jerusalem.

If you rightly divide the Bible, you will see that Jesus was preaching about two (2) components of the Kingdom. He preached that the political kingdom (Kingdom of Heaven) was coming, and if the Jews had accepted Him after His death and resurrection, He would have come back and established it after seven years of tribulation, as foretold in the prophecies.

Israel rejected their King when He came the first time. In the almost two millenniums since then His Kingdom has been in a MYSTERY form; the Lord Jesus Christ reigning in the heart of the believer, and yet seated on the right hand of the Father in the third heaven.

And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come,
he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:
Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God
is within you [when you receive Christ as Savior]. Luke 17:20-21

The Kingdom of Heaven will be established upon the earth at the end of the
Tribulation and extend for 1,000 years. Jesus will be Priest and King in Jerusalem.
The Kingdom of Heaven will be brought to the earth, and Satan will be bound.
The whole earth will be filled with the knowledge of the Lord.

1) Has "now" been removed from some translations, or has the word been translated differently? "Now" can be used as a reference to time, i.e. the time being. But it can also be used to state a conclusion, i.e. as things are. So rather than now my kingdom is not of this realm, we have "as it is" my kingdom is not of this realm. So rather than pointing to a future kingdom, the actual idea is to contrast a mistaken idea with the actual truth. (John 18:36)

2) There is no difference between born again Christians, and born again Jews, so the idea of spiritual hatred is mistaken doctrine.

3) God's purpose and plan was for Christ to be crucified, and he used ungodly men to do it. To point to those God used to accomplish His purpose is to miss the message. Recall how Peter tossed them a bone, telling them they were ignorant.

4) The kingdom of heaven and the kingdom of God are the same, both refer to the actual abode of God. When God establishes His kingdom in the physical realm, rather than only in the spiritual realm, i.e. the third heaven, God will dwell on David's throne.

Bottom line, no need to muddy the waters with speculation.

A thought of mine, is that, since the gospel of Matthew is Jewish (1:1), and since the Jews were looking for "the days of heaven upon earth" (Deut. 11:21, KJV) based on their piety (Deut. 11:13-25), Matthew makes his gospel distinct in employing the term, "kingdom of heaven".

Lewis Chafer (Classic dispensationalist) believed in a distinction between the two terms.

Not sure what you're getting at here.

Do you mean, by quoting this scripture, that Luke also employs the term, and so Matthew isn't distinct in his employment of the term?

False dichotomy. There is no difference between the Kingdom of God and the Kingdom of Heaven. They are used interchangeably.

Matthew quotes Jesus using the term "heaven" while another Gospel writer quotes the very same quote using "God".

They are the exact same thing.

Glad to see you were not making a redundant argument for mistaken doctrine, but simply showing the OP borrowed heavily from this article.

In Matthew 11:12 the idea is that the kingdom of heaven is bound up in Jesus, thus Jesus has suffered violence from the time of John the Baptist. The OT prophecies taught of the coming kingdom which was fulfilled in Christ.

This second link provides references to scripture but makes the same bogus argument. What it tries to do is change the name of the Millennial Kingdom to the Kingdom of Heaven. It skips over the slight problem as heaven is not of this world.

As yourself this question; Is the millennial kingdom ever referred to in scripture as the kingdom of heaven? Check these verses, all from Matthew:
