I think when I installed it, they give an option for that now. I declined.Google killed Chrome for me when they installed their updater with it. I want control of what goes into my computer and they did not ask for permission.
I still use Firefox and plan on staying with it. 3.5.2 is great and I have mine very customized... something you can't do with the others.

I like firefox too, but it has become so slow, is always freezing and crashing, and when I x out of it and try to log back on later, it tells me it is already running and to close it first...but it is actually closed. Maybe it is the new updated version...I wish I could go back to the version I had 2 updates ago, it was much better.
