One can't reconcile the bible together until he first knows the difference between God's words and man's words. Until he does, he also won't know who is speaking the word of God and who is not.
But there seem to be quite a few people here who don't know the difference between God's words and man's words. So here's a little quiz. I'll quote individual verses from the bible and I'll also quote man's "interpretation" of those verses and you need to tell us which are God's words. Then once you can identify God's words, you can put them all together with other scripture so that scripture agrees with other scripture instead of contradicts other scripture.
All you need to do is type the number of each item and either a. or b. along with the number. (It would also be a good idea to look up each verse to make sure you know what it says. I'm using the NIV).
1) Isaiah 54:16,
a."For I the Lord have created the destroyer to work havoc..."
b. "For I the Lord have no control over Satan. He and mankind ride roughshot over me."
2) Proverbs 16:9,
a. "Man makes his own choices. The Lord just goes along for the ride because he know what man is going to do."
b. "In his heart, a man plans his course. But the Lord determines his steps."
3) John 15:16,
a. "You did not choose me, but I chose you."
b. "I did not choose you, but you chose me."
4) 1 Corinthians 1:27,
a. "But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise;..."
b. "But God chose everybody."
5) Psalm 147:19-20,
a. "He has revealed his word to Jacob, and his laws and decrees to Israel. He has done this for no other nation."
b. "God has revealed himself to everybody."
6) John 6:64-65,
a. "Everyone can come to me because God draws everyone."
b. "This is why I told you no one can come to me unless the Father has enabled him."
7) 2 Corinthians 4;4,
a. "For the god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers so they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ."
b. "for the god of this age hasn't blinded anyone. Some people simply prefer hell over heaven."
8) Epheisans 1:4
a. "God didn't choose anyone before the creation of the world. But he knew who would come to him and who wouldn't."
b. "For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight."
9) Romans 8:20,
a. "For the creation was not subjected to frustration by its own choice but by the will of the one who subjected it in the hope that it would be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God."
b. "For the creation was subjected to frustration by its own choice because man chooses to sin. So he's not in bondage to sin and doesn't need a savior. He simply prefers hell over heaven."
10) Romans 9:18,
a. "God doesn't harden hearts. Since he doesn't control Satan, he has no control over the actions of men and lets them run the universe."
b. "Therefore, God has mercy on whom he wants to have mercy and he hardens whom he wants to harden."
11) Jeremiahs 10:23,
a. "I know, O Lord that a man has control over his live. It is man who directs his steps."
b. "I know, O Lord, that a man's life is not his own. It is not for man to direct his steps."
12) Romans 9:19-20,
a. "...For who resists his will? Anyone can!"
b. "For who resists his will? But who are you O man to talk back to God?"
13) Romans 11:29,
a. "For God's gifts and his call are resistible."
b. "For God's gifts and his call are irrevocable."
Again, all that's needed here is to identify God's words from the words of men. So no discussion is needed because discussion can't ensue until God's words have been properly identified.
