If the monstrosity called health reform finally becomes law it will be the death of the Republic established by the Founding Fathers. What will replace it will be a Marxist state long desired by the leftists who control the president and the democrat party. Therefore, the Republicans and the people should continue to fight this move to Marxism.

Both the House and Senate Bills are patently unconstitutional and they should be challenged in court. The blatant bribery included in the Senate bill is also unconstitutional and should be challenged in the courts. The bribes that are known should be an affront to every patriotic American. They show the depths of depravity of the democrat politicians in DC which is echoed in large part by the mainstream media, particularly those who have something running up [or down] their leg when they hear Obama speak.

Hopefully this travesty will further motivate the Tea Party movement to continue their peaceful revolution.

Finally it is time for the individual and sovereign states to tell the corrupt government in Washington, DC to take a hike. If all would take this action there would be a successful and peaceful revolution in this country and we would once again be the Republic envisioned by the Founding Fathers.

I am also talking about both the House and Senate bills. They do not reform health care. They are nothing but power grabs by the Federal Government.

The Senate Bill contains a provision that establishes a 4 person panel to determine just what medical procedures Medicare will allow. Given that the Senate Bill also cuts ~$500 billion from Medicare over the next 10 years this board obviously constitutes a Death Panel. Governor Sarah Palin was correct.

If you want to discuss ideas for Health Care reform start another thread. This thread is to discuss the democrat/Marxist effort to destroy the Republic.

Nope, rise up on election day and vote out every Republican or Democratic politician at the federal level. At that point, appoint a special prosecuter and charge everyone of them with bribery, treason, and theft. Upon conviction, put everyone of them on a chain gang year round.

Other recent violations include, but are not limited to, the Patriot Act, eminent domain for shopping centers and golf courses, social security, the IRS, etc, etc, etc...

Most of the Republicans (in D.C.) do not oppose this healthcare legislation on principle. They oppose it only because they don't like certain aspects of the bill. In other words, they are not against big government. They are only against big "liberal" government.

Personally, I am against big government. Be it "liberal" or "conservative".

The devil is in the details. Ron Paul, for example. He and his people sound good but no one has a detailed economic/political/social plan that considers life in the real world.

Explain exactly how your plan will give everyone in the world a bigger slice of a bigger pie? It's one thing to say, "Let the losers, the lazy slugs, anyone with an IQ below 90, the mentally and physically disabled . . . starve." Then all the losers are eliminated then who will drive the garbage trucks?

All your kids and grand kids - they all high IQ, self starting capitalists? None of you have any kids or grandkids who might not meet your personal standards? You wiling to right (pun intended) them off?

Half the people over 65 would be living on the street if not for Social Security and Medicare. You ready and willing to write them off? None of you have parents who depend upon SS and medicare? We can get by with neither but have friends and neighbors who have worked all their live and still depend upon SS and medicare. Even real church going Christian people.

When your 'gold' plan goes into effect . . . You going to pay off all the government paper held by China, et alia, in gold? Trillion here, trillion there, soon it adds up to real money. I bought US savings bonds back when they were paying high interest and they start coming due in 2012. Ron Paul going to pay me in gold? At what rate? 3 cents on the dollar? I have an IRA with a book value of around $100K which I got by selling a house and living in a travel trailer for 3 years. When RP wins and scraps the Fed system, will it still be worth the equivalent of 3 years middle class living expenses? If I needed to draw on it to pay property taxes on my 900 sq ft, 90 year old mill worker house it would last my short remaining lifetime. Will this be true when you put us on a gold standard?

How about someone starting thread to DETAIL your proposed conversion to dump the fed and revert to a gold coin standard. Explain how it will effect those now on a pension and the people now driving garbage trucks and doing other grunt work.

You totally miss the point. Every detail you expained had something to do with making it hard on the middle or lower class if someone other than Democrats and Republicans were in power. It seems to me they are stealing money right in front of your nose, and you do not even see it. Before there were Democrats and Republicans, when the US was still governed by the Constitution, we did just fine. You act like our survival as a nation depends on keeping the two thieving parties in power on a rotating basis. No doubt next year you will vote for one of them.

When social security was started, it was made quite clear that this was never meant to be the sole means of living in retirement. It was a help. Retirement was each person's responsibility. If they did not listen, that is their problem. As a matter of fact, there are millions who have continued to collect social security for years, decades even, past what they and their employer put into the system. Basically, people working now are subsidizing their checks.

I think the connies have themselves been conned by corporate special interests. In this case, the insurance lobby has pulled out all stops to derail universal healthcare by fomenting fear in the less educated or less discerning segment of society.
