So, all the sudden, my Mac Word 2008 template is coming up sized at 8 1/2 x 14. I didn't tell it to, and I can't seem to refresh the template back to 8 1/2 x 11.

    HELP!! Please?? :D

The solution depends on what is determining the size of your page. The problem is likely to be resolved in one of two places:

    PAGE LAYOUT> SIZE> LETTER (8.5x11)

    and/or

FILE> PRINT> PROPERTIES> change your paper size from legal to letter

These controls will also be the same in Word 2007 for PC.

Thank you, John. I've tried both, and funnily, it says my paper size is 8.5 x 11 when it's viewable 8.5 x 14. I want the template to be 8.5 x 11 but new docs come up 8.5 x 14 every time.

I see that template "Normal.dotm" is not inside the folder called "My Templates". Isn't it supposed to be?

Is there anything else I can try?
    Thanks! :)

Hmmmm, is it possible that your "normal.dotm" might have been inadvertently deleted? If this is the case, you could either search the internet for a new one, or just save your current blank document as the new normal.dotm. Either way, I'd do a search on my machine to make sure that template might not be elsewhere on the machine, before procuring a new one.

I'm not sure if it was deleted inadvertently? I've been trying to save my current blank, an 8.5 x 11 pulled up from the past. But even though it says it saves, every new doc is still 8.5 x 14 in size. The print queue says it's 8.5 x 11, but it's not.

When I run a find on my Mac for Normal.dotm, nothing comes up? Please bear with me; I'm not very knowledgeable on this topic. But I greatly appreciate your help! :wavey:

Got it! Had to dump some files to make it happen, but it's all good now.

Thanks for your help, John! :wavey:
