"The offerings made under the Jewish law were so defective that there was a necessity for repeating them every day . . . ."

Is that way the "Pledge of Allegiance" is continually repeated at public meetings and the national anthem precedes every baseball game?

HP: Here we go again. I have never stated works saved. Not once. They are always thought of in the sense of 'not without which' not 'that for the sake of,' but what it truth to thee???

Speaking of double talk.

These phrases you have concocted have no meaning except in your own mind.

Did you make these up yourself or did you get them from a commentary? Could you post the resource, if there is one.

If you really believe works prove ones faith then you would have to conclude that if works are not consistent with ones faith, such a one is not going to make heaven their home if they continue on that path.

This is what James has clearly pointed out. They will not make heaven because there was no faith. Not because there was faith but no works.

Bill, is that just another way to say you might be bored with this thread? :sleeping_2::)

Either bored or just unable to refute the simplicity of Hebrews 10:14.

But to compare what represented the sacrifice of Christ with the singing of the national anthem?

Hi Billwald

It was not that they were defective, they did exactly what they were supposed to do: symbolize the death of Christ.

Give a means of remission until salvation was made complete through Christ's death on the Cross.

They could not in symbol reconcile man to God...Christ's does.

They were repeated not because they were defective, but because they could not take away sin.

Chist's does.

Which is why His was done ONCE.
