Many years ago I visited a Pentecostal church with a friend--a woman evangelist. When they started gyrating, running around, jumping the pews, and praying in gibberish, I looked at the door and wanted to leave. Unfortunately, I had ridden with my friend and was stuck. One woman kept repeating something that sounded like "Ah ditty" over and over and over, and she was VERY loud. I could hear her over all the other noise.
I can feel the Holy Spirit in a great message or in a song. I don't need to act like those people to feel His power. Apparently, the one holding the camera wasn't feeling whatever the others were. I noticed one boy standing and gyrating and looking around like he just wanted to make sure he was doing it right. One boy (I think) just sat there with folded arms, probably wondering what was going on, and others just stood there doing nothing. The few who weren't participating were the most noticeable to me, because they stood out in all that din of excitement caused by emotionalism.
My older brother went to an Assembly of God church one time and said that a woman from the back came down the aisle doing cartwheels and this during the preachers sermon. Someone afterwards told him that things like this was normal in the church. They had the title of "holy rollers" among the community. Is the AoG pentecostal?

I don't want to be in that building when the lightning strikes.l
AoG is most definitely pentecostal although some churches tend to be moderate and others radically pentecostal. Almost from the start (about 1909) there was a large split in the denomination over the trinity. Many wished to abandon the trinity in favor of 'oneness' or 'the new issue' otherwise it would be a much larger denomination than it is.
Ok it is laughable - it is a joke.
But seriously -- how are they getting drawn into it?
Did the Christian church "make them" or "draw them"?
What argument is being made to suggest to church members that they should do such things?
The AOG is definitely not "oneness". The oneness group was kicked out of the AOG in the early 1900s. Today, most AOG churches are not as emotional as showh in the U-TUBE; however, some are. In the 1980's the AOG General Council Meeting warned about such excesses, but some churches still are involved in the excess emotions. The trend in the AOG is to get away from excess emotions.
Like the Baptist, most AOG churches are independent with the organization not directing what is done in the chuches. Also like the Baptists, the organization stays out of the workings within the churches unless the money and/or the attendance drops considerably.
