    I flew from OKC to Chicago as a 19 year old. I spent the summer in Chicago, then flew back home.

    I used to love being in an airplane, but with so many of them blowing up in the air, crashing because of some defect, and being highjacked, I'm a bit leery of it now.

    To me, it's basically the hassle factor since 9/11 and the fact that most planes are packed. Plus, more and more people are bringing their luggage on board instead of paying a fee.

    Has there been a crash in the US since 9/11? I don't think so. Plus, I think you have to go back to Lockerbie, Scotland or Korea to find a mid-air explosion. Actually, the most dangerous part of flying is the drive to the airport.

    I have flown a lot on bigger planes and mid sized planes. I have also ridden in a four seater.

    New York to London, autumn of 1984, with my mom. We had talked about visiting England for years, and finally decided to save our money and book a tour. :)
