DHK---so whats your opinon of Calvin, Knox, Edwards, Lloyd-Jones, John Owen, RC Sproul, Ligner Duncan?

I think a lot of people liked Calvins Institutes. However, he didn't have many friends and generally was a grumpy person. I wouldn't have a beer with him. Primarily because I don't believe he drank and enforced blue sky laws in Switzerland. Knoxs was a Scotsman and there isn't much to dislike there. Edwards was a wonderful preacher and caused the American Great Awakening. Awsome but a result of that was eventually mormonism gave Joseph Smith a venue in which to gain converts. But many tent meetings saw many salvations. I really like Sproul's books but I have some divergence of opinions with him.

You know why the sun never sat on the English empire don't you?

For a baptist the spirit indwells the believer in fullness upon conversion. Thank God for that.

Yea I do, the Sassenagh are oppressors & criminals boyo.....evidence Lockerby & BP's involvement. Race of Anglo-Saxon degenerates.

Then what about penticost & Acts 2?

Yeah, God wouldn't trust an Englishman in the Dark. And I was Air Force Stationed in the UK during Lockerby and was at the site after its crash. So, I'm pretty upset about this finding with BP. Having been in the UK and Ireland, I'd rather have a guiness in Kilarney than have a brown in the fens. But can't say it was all bad.
I think Acts chapter 2 was an extrodinary circumstance of the begining growth of the Church beyond the apostles. Also note later in acts upon hearing the gospel roman household were speaking in tounges even before they were baptized and just upon hearing the gospel message.

Regardless of who it may be that embraces the false doctrine of infant baptism it is departure from the essentials of the faith once delivered. It perverts the gospel of salvation. It perverts the ordinance of baptism. It perverts the Biblical membership of a New Testament assembly. It is placing leaven of corruption within the membership of the church that will distort and pervert and destroy all Biblical essentials to be recognized as a church of Jesus Christ.

So Doc Wally, your essentially telling me that the majority of the Reformed movement....IE anyone studying the Westminster Confessions.....University students, Reformed Seminaries, etc are all perverted in their theology & heretical?

So then whats your thinking Covenant theology & Calvinism?

I am obviously not a Covenant Theologion and I don't claim the name of Calvin for Paulinian theology.

It doesn't matter does it? Stick to the topic of this thread. If you want to open another thread on the beliefs of those men then do so. Look at the header of this page and it will give you the topic.

What is the largest Church in America?

The same answer was given by two or three individuals on the first page. Lori abruptly said:
Because Roman Catholicism IS biblical Christianity. We don't need your proselytizing, thank you.
And ever since the thread has been about Catholicism, not about other men and their followers.
Stay on topic please.

Well, according to DHK, they "don't believe in faith in Christ, if they did they woudn't believe in infant baptism."
You can't stay on topic can you.
You said:

Now you don't have the intestinal fortitude to defend your own position from the Bible but to lamely appeal to other religions and say: "But they believe it too." Poor baby!!!

You inspired me so I went out & got some good ole Pennsy Yingling to have with my pizza...my wife just asked me if I'm happy now! LOL

You want the gist of the topic. Go to the first page. To jump in at page 30 without reading everything that has been said before is quite presumptuous of you. Go back and read if you want answers.

And please remember this quote:
Because Roman Catholicism IS biblical Christianity. We don't need your proselytizing, thank you.
Who is bashing who?
The statement is not true. Catholicism is not Biblical Christianity by a long shot. Lori is a guest on Baptist Board. The statement looks like she is proselytizing us, which is against the rules when you think of it. Who is the "we" that she is speaking of? How many of "us" are on this board? Maybe 2? Lori needs to watch her step.

Maybe you should rename it "Catholic Bashers Forum"... it would be more appropriate.

A wee bit passive/aggressive temperament I see....no no no, Im not a person who rats out people... besides the entertainment value you've personally provided here in "Hate" central has renewed my faith in man to say nothing for my opinion of you.

Look at the above posts please. You initiated this conversation, and you have carried it on. You may even get in the last word. For once this page turns over the thread will be closed. I have given you your answer. You don't accept it. The topic of this thread was initiated by a Catholic and carried on by a Catholic. That is an answer you don't accept. As I say, if you don't like it you can go elsewhere. I don't know what your problem is.

I think you've proved to me that this whole conversation is absurd. In fact you will never ever convince Lori with these tactics. Im sure she is more resolute than ever.... like I said, have fun with it. I sincerely hope the page does turn & you will close this out. It has been the most contentious blog Ive ever read & guess what......it accomplishes NOTHING!

i have not seen where DHK has bashed 'catholics'. he is reproving false teachings and error and as Christians we are commanded to reprove darkness.

Ephesians 5:11
And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them

i see where he is being obedient to Christ.

the greatest darkness in the world is romanism. look at their fruits. the murder of 50 million innocent people, pedophilia, sexual abuse and every other atrocity ever thought of...

embracing catholics who are lost in error and false doctrines, is NOT love. it is actually hatred. telling someone who is lost in false religion IS showing love.

i was catholic for 35 years and i look back now and i get ANGRY that for 35 years NOBODY (saved Christians) told me out of love that i was lost and on my way to hell. i wish they had and they should have.
leaving someone in false religion is showing hatred towards them... catholics need to hear the Gospel as much as any muslim or atheist on the planet... embracing the wrong gospel will save nobody, and they believe a false gospel...

Have you noted that Lori was a Baptist prior to becoming a RC?!?

God is One and for all.

God is sovereign to any group ownership or personal manipulation.

God is available as free gift and not through sacrificing another.

God needs no victims and creates no victims.

Because God is sovereign His word is final and if it condemns Lori for apostasy then that is just the way it is becuase God's Word represents a Soverieign God. Those who violate God's Word, pervert His commandments don't like being exposed for what they are doing. Too bad - the blade cuts both ways.
