Was Paul married?

I feel it was a human being that was his 'thorn in the flesh,' because Paul said it was "a messenger of satan to buffet me."

Messenger implies a person or entity.
I cast my lot on this brothers interpretation. Alexander the coppersmith did me great harm; the Lord will repay him according to his deeds.

I know. The Bible tells me what it was...

"... the messenger of satan to buffet me."

It was a messenger, not a message.

It was a messenger sent to strike him with the fist, not a speech impediment.

And you still don't know exactly what the thorn in the flesh was, so my point holds true.

The thorn was a messenger, not a message. The messenger was sent to strike Paul with the fist.

Strong's Greek Dictionary
2852. kolaphizo
kolajizw kolaphizo kol-af-id'-zo
from a derivative of the base of 2849; to rap with the fist:--buffet.

The thorn in the flesh was a person, not an impediment or impairment. An impediment does not have a fist, nor does an impairment.

I think the evidence points to the fact that Paul was divorced, but had not remarried.
Divorced, possibly widowed. Scripture is not clear.

But History does point to the fact that as a member of the Sanhedrin, Paul would have had to have been married during the time he served with the Sanhedrin.
