"A Throne was set in heaven. One, like a jasper and sardine stone, sat upon the Throne and 24 Elders, crowned with gold and clothed in white raiment, sat on thrones. Seven lamps of fire, representing the 7 spirits of God, were ablaze before the Throne. An emerald-like rainbow circled the Throne. Flashes of lightning, peals of thunder and voices issued forth. Before the Throne was a sea of glass, like Crystal. In the center, around the Throne were four Beasts, each with six wings filled with eyes in front and behind. Whenever they worship the One sitting on the Throne, the 24 Elders cast their crowns before Him and bow in worship also". Rev.4.
Later on, in Rev.15, all the Martyrs come out from under the Altar in the Temple "which had been filled with the smoke of God's glory and power so that no one might enter the Temple". All the Martyrs are joined by 144,000 "Firstfruit unto God and the Lamb". They are members of the 12 Tribes of Israel whom the Lamb just "redeemed from among men on earth".
They sing the song of the Lamb and the Martyrs sing the song of Moses!
This scene takes place with the Crystal Sea "mingled with fire"...but only after the Martyrs have been victorious over the Beast, his image and his mark. Also, the setting occurs after the 7 last Plagues had exhausted the patience of God. According to Daniel 7:9-10, His Throne is ablaze with fire and the Court is about to sit in judgment upon the Beast for killing these
Martyrs. Daniel says "they present the Son of Man to the Ancient of Days"...and
"Then the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony opens in heaven"!!
Why do we find the Martyrs in the Temple long before it opens in Rev.15:5? They worship God and the Lamb in Rev.7:9 to Rev.8:5 and Rev.11:15-19 where Christ is crowned as King because "God's wrath has come".
Dan.7:14; Rev.11:15-18. Here it says again: "The Temple was open". Rev.11:19
and there were once again, as in Rev.4, "flashes of lightning, peals of thunder and voices...but now there is a "great earthquake and great hail..."
and this is repeated immediately in Rev.16:18-21 because of God's wrath.
The Temple "was open" in Rev.11:19 and it "was open" in Rev.15:5 AFTER
the Plagues "manifest that God was righteous and just in His deeds" during
the judgments of the Trumpets and Plagues. Now comes the Judgment of
the Court in Heaven's Temple on the Day Christ will be crowned as King!!!
When does God's Wrath begin?
