The soul of Jesus

According to Acts:
2:30 Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;
2:31 He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.
2:32 This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.

According to the word of God from where was the soul of Jesus resurrected?
I am not sure that the statement the soul of Jesus was resurrected is accurate. His body was resurrected, but His soul was never dead. It may just be semantics. I would like to hear some thoughts on it.

This is a tough one. It seems that the term resurrection applies more to the body and not the spirit.
When Jesus died on the cross, his spirit went down into the heart of the earth. On the third day his spirit rose from the heart of the earth and reentered his body. This is the resurrection.
We know that when Christians die now that their spirit goes directly to heaven. This is a rising up, but it is not the resurrection. The resurrection is when our spirit will be reunited with our body at the last day.

What soul is this?
Here in is my point. When I hear the term resurrection I think of from the dead, the body. Yes it is body soul and spirit so to just say soul resurrection makes for questions. His soul was not dead. The body was however and that is what was resurrected. Some claim that the spirit is where the life comes from. Reference Gen.2:7
And the LORD God formed man [of] the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
The first word breathed comes from a Hebrew word that means blow or breath. The second word breath comes from a Hebrew word meaning spirit or breath. So if the spirit is the life of the person that comes from God one would have to ask what the soul is. Some claim this part is the part of us that holds knowledge or what makes us what we are. I really do not know since the bible does not spell it all out. I understand what a body is, but I am not clear on the distinction beween spirit and soul. However to say that the soul has been resurrected I am not sure that is accurate. But like I said I would like to hear some suggestions.

Would you please give me the name if possible or relationship to a name of these eight souls.
If I understand your question the passage is speaking about Noah, his wife, and their three sons and their wives. And if I understand your reference as to soul keep in mind that these people were not dead. I know of no place where soul is used in regards to being dead or being resurrected. However like I said the terms soul, and spirit are not clearly defined in scripture so as being able to come to any kind of clear understanding as to what applies to them. If soul fits biblically when resurrection is used that is fine with me.

That is correct they were living souls. What does it take to make a living soul?

Everywhere that 5315 is translated body it is the word for soul. There is no reason to translate it body except for the belief that the soul can't die, yet the word of God says at least twice that the Soul (why not body) that sinneth it shall die.

One more thing if it wasn't the soul that was being resurrected in Acts 2, why did Peter say that it was the soul being resurrected? This spake he of the resurrection. In 1 Cor 15 it was Christ that died, it was Christ that was buried, it was Christ that rose was resurrected. It is people that were alive that died that are raised. If Paul had meant bodies he would have said bodies. Bodies are not spoken of until verse 35. Thirty four verses talking about the dead being raised and then body is spoken of. Why? David's been dead 700 years. How will the dead David be raised up(resurrected)? His body has bound to have rotted away. What kind of body will he have? Jesus was only in the ground three days and three nights therefore he did not see corruption. Unlike Lazarus the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been [dead] four days.
