I have about 20 pages or so left in John Piper's "Don't Waste Your Life." Excellent read, making me think about some areas of life I've never really considered before. It just shows me once again that the things of God are always fresh and new. I've been saved for over 25 years and I'm still learning. Good stuff!

What happened to the old thread? Did it max out on time or number of posts? I'm not sure how "thread life" works on this board.

Church History in Plain Language

Very readable; I may spend the next few months studying history and join the Baptistboard History forum

I just finished Lies Women Believe by Nancy Leigh DeMoss. I highly reccomend it for any of the females out there. But if you're more on the "secular" side of life, it will certainly step on your toes. It's a good eye opener about what women buy into as far as what they need for fulfillment, sense of self, etc..... And a great depiction of Adam and Eve in the garden, with most chapters starting out as an entry in what could have been Eve's diary. A Fabulous read!

A goldie oldie from Tim LaHaye "Are we living in the End Times" and 2 Peter in my bible.

What are your impressions of Lee Strobel? I am thinking of buying the book, but I thought I might get some insight before I made the purchase. Thanks in advance.

I have read both "The Case for Christ" and "The Case for Creation" and enjoyed them. They are interviews Strobel had with various scientists and archaeologists proving from a scientific and archaeological point of view that Jesus really was Christ, and that He created the universe.

I am currently reading "No Place for Truth or Whatever Happened to Evangelical Theology?" by David Wells. Excellent book!

I am currently reading, Real Worship...Playground, Battleground or Holy Ground, 2nd Edition, by
Warren W. Wiersbe, published by Family Christian Press. The book was published under special arrangement with Baker Book House Company. This book was copyrighted 2000 by the author.

I read it at times while on vacation or while waiting at the doctor's office. It is my practice to mark or write in the margins as I read it.

I am still reading it.

Thanks for reading, mr. messy.
