"The Shack" Counterfeit Christianity?

The Shack is a touching story but has terrible theology. It's all about redemption and tosses retribution to the wind. It minimizes the church and claims that relationships are everything. It also has some strange notions about God and the Holy Trinity. In fact this book is so far out in left field it should not be read by nonbelievers or even by new believers.

Depends upon who turns out to be right. Hebrews is one of the hardest books in the NT to explain and this list is evidence that neither Baptists no anyone else can agree about what even the easy material means.

Is there any verse whose meaning every list person concurs?

Maybe you should read the book and then offer your comments. I don't think anyone who posts here would say "The Shack" contains sound theology.

Hebrews is easy - Jesus is better......

I have read "The Shack", the story is interesting but the theology is not sound.

I so agree. This book could really mess up a new Christian.
