I have the passage open in front of me. So I ask again what is the context of the passage?

I think you told me in another thread that I would not believe you if you showed me. So my response is I think you would not believe me if I told you.

Anyone who wants to observe Lent is their business. It is not something I care to do, or have every Sunday of the year named for some Biblical event. The only place I deal with lent is the clothes dryer.

Then if someone chooses to observe it, that is their business. I don't know of anyone who observes every event in the Bible. Not once in my life have I observed Passover or the Year of Jubilee.

I looked at that verse, and was at first mystified. It says:

And the LORD had given the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they granted them what they requested. Thus they plundered the Egyptians.​

That's from the NKJV. Then I looked at the verse in the AV (KJV), and I realised that you meant that the word "lent" occurs in the AV translation of that verse.
