is it "OK" To pray to the Holy Spirit?

Know that the bible tells us to pray to the Father, in name of Jesus, power of Holy Spirit...

Sometimes though I pray and ask Him to guide and empower me at times, is that biblical "OK?"

Is the Holy Spirit God?

Mark 12:29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:

I notice nobody has mentioned praying to Jesus.

I hear it done all the time.

I wonder how one can pray to Jesus in Jesus name?

Now, I certainly don't think God will say to me, "oops, you prayed to the Holy Spirit instead of me. You're outa luck. Try again.?

But we have biblical instruction to pray to God, and Jesus said to ask in His name. I'll stick with that.

I dont think anyone would argue that point.

"But"...the question in the OP was simply "..is it OK to pray to the Holy Spirit.

We just answered the question.

Oh, I think it's probably okay. Doesn't hurt a thing. I'm just sayin' that we have instructions from Jesus on how to pray, and he instructs us to pray "Our Father." And he instructs to ask in His (Jesus') name.

And even if we don't pray the right way, the Holy Spirit knows:

Romans 8:26
In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words;

Yep. I agree.

Praise God for that. :godisgood:

I pray to the Father in the name of Jesus Christ through the Spirit. Jesus told us how to pray. Matthew 6:9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. I pray to the Father in the name of Jesus Christ because of 1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Romans 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: Ephesians 2:18 For through him we both have access by on Spirit unto the Father. I believe it is through the Spirit we pray to Father in the name of Jesus Christ. Romans 8:15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. Also Galatians 4:6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. It is the Holy Spirit that enables us to pray as mentioned before Romans 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. When my church started having me hold prayer I looked into these things and settled that this was orderly and good but I seeing nothing wrong with some one saying "Help me Jesus" but always saw the Holy Spirit bringing glory and honor to God the Father and Son.
