Anyone else ever run across these folks?

Haven't read the link, but sounds a lot like Arianism. (I underlined 'Creature' in your quote above to demonstrate why I think this)

I have to say I agree with you. Haven't read much about the Arianism teachings in a while.

There is no "middle position" here when you add the word "creature" to describe the Son. That is plainly arianism or modern Jehovah's Witnessism.

There is a such thing as binitariamism (divine Father and Son only), but it has always been rare. Today, it is the sabbathkeeping Churches of god that hold to that, and even among them, from what I saw years ago, there was flux between that and Trinitarianism, Arianism, and modalism. (The congregations I had run across had gone charismatic, and in the typical fashion, doctrinal beliefs were not high on the list in focus).

Arianism attributes the word "divine" to the Son but maintains the word "creature" as well while attributing nothing but impersonal force to the Spirit. Nothing new here.
