All these things you have tried or is trying to explain to me,

did the Spirit of Truth teach you these things?

Yes or No.
First of all I'm not sure that what I believe the Spirit of Truth is (to me it is the Holy Spirit) and is what you believe it to be. So to be clear it is the Holy Spirit that has taught me these things through many and diverse means.
But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth... He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you. 15 All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will receive from me what he will make known to you.”

Where I came from it is a well known fact

that there are seven Spirits of God.

Has the Holy Spirit taught you of them and told you their names?

Scriptures have spoken regarding it.
The Spirit of the LORD will rest on him—
the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding,
the Spirit of counsel and of might,
the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the LORD—

And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.

Is this the Holy Spirit that you were speaking of that is teaching you now?

You know, DavidoregonJr: 30 years ago I was in a commune in our area figuring out how many and what size wood stoves to sell some folks.. The whole commune had been very recently heavily injected with the word of God, through one couple having gotten saved.. The new found joy in redemption washed over that entire commune, but by the time I got there, they were debating pointless words, ideas and theologies, KJ v. NAS, NKJ, etc, and missing out on the joy of the Lord.. Eventually a small group of Christians took them on, and there were quite a few more saved and a vibrant ministry begun. I haven't thought about that or even heard of that ministry in years, till this thread brought it to mind. Your postings on this thread reminded me of those truly wonderful times. If you are a new believer, relax, and get with some serious Bible students, and there are usually some in every church, and enjoy the joy that is yours in Christ. Don't major in minors..

You know...now that I think about it...

I am a new believer...everyday.

The seven Spirits of God teach me something new everyday.:wavey:

Ah Yes Rev 5:6 I think. I may have it wrong but look at the passage you quoted.
Then I saw a Lamb, looking as if it had been slain, standing at the center of the throne, encircled by the four living creatures and the elders. The Lamb had seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits[a] of God sent out into all the earth.
Lets break it down
saw a Lamb, looking as if it had been slain
Who is the Lamb that was slain? Jesus. Also note
standing at the center of the throne
Who is at the center of God's throne? Who is encircled by the Seraphim?
I saw the Lord, high and exalted, seated on a throne; and the train of his robe filled the temple. 2 Above him were seraphim, each with six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying. 3 And they were calling to one another:
“Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty;
the whole earth is full of his glory.”

4 At the sound of their voices the doorposts and thresholds shook and the temple was filled with smoke.
The Lord God. Thus we see the Lamb (Jesus) is co-equal with God because the lamb is standing at the center of the Throne thus he is the Lord God. Lets continue.
The Lamb had seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits[a] of God
The Lamb's physical attributes 7 horns and eyes are the seven spirits of God. Thus these attributes are Jesus (God's) as he is the lamb who is slain.

Do you think that it is possible that the Lord could tell me to ask you something that you would just say

I do not know or that you do not have an explanation for?

It's absolutely possible. There are many things I don't know or have explanations for. So yes I am certain God could ask you to ask me such a question. However, I may question whether he did or not. Or wonder at what purpose it would serve. Or whether you were accurate in querrying me.

If I told you that you contradicted your own words with your own words...quite a lot.

Would you believe me?

Only if you could prove it.

Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house:

For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.

Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.

And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.

And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.
