I like the other part of that chorus too. It goes

"Oh, victory in Jesus! My savior forever. He sought me and he bought me
with his redeeming blood. He loved me ere I knew him
and all my love is due him. He plunged me to victory
beneath the cleansing blood."

You know, DavidoregonJr: 30 years ago I was in a commune in our area figuring out how many and what size wood stoves to sell some folks.. The whole commune had been very recently heavily injected with the word of God, through one couple having gotten saved.. The new found joy in redemption washed over that entire commune, but by the time I got there, they were debating pointless words, ideas and theologies, KJ v. NAS, NKJ, etc, and missing out on the joy of the Lord.. Eventually a small group of Christians took them on, and there were quite a few more saved and a vibrant ministry begun. I haven't thought about that or even heard of that ministry in years, till this thread brought it to mind. Your postings on this thread reminded me of those truly wonderful times. If you are a new believer, relax, and get with some serious Bible students, and there are usually some in every church, and enjoy the joy that is yours in Christ. Don't major in minors..

I will delight myself in Your statutes; I will not forget Your word.

Your word have I laid up in my heart, that I might not sin against You

Every word of God is tried and purified; He is a shield to those who trust and take refuge in Him

For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power; it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life and spirit, and of joints and marrow, exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart.

Open my eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of Your law

Every Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for instruction, for reproof and conviction of sin, for correction of error and discipline in obedience, for training in righteousness.

Sky and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path

But be doers of the Word and not merely listeners to it, betraying yourselves

Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.

Victory in Jesus.

No matter how much I want to boast in my Lord after he gives me the victory.

I always realize that my adversaries never stood a chance against me.

My Lord loves me without measure.

This person said that "anyone who denies that Jesus is God, is a anti-Christ".

The word of the Lord came to me and instructed me to ask him...

What are those people called, who deny that Jesus is the Son of God?

He did not say a word.

Jesus is homoousios with the Father. Yet Jesus is the Son of God who is begotton of the Father by eternal generation and the Holy Spirit proceeds by an eternal procession from the Father and the Son. Yet even so the persons are co-equal and co-eternal and all are are uncreated and omnipotent. Therefore the Father has never been without the Son, nor the Son without the Holy Spirit. Thus the Trinity is immutable, and unalterable forever. Further Jesus, the second person of the Trinity, is a Hypostatic Union of Divinity and humanity.

A belief apart from this is heretical.

This song was sung in the move "The Apostle" with Robert Duval.

Is this the same principal as;

The Word of God in its fullest revelation is Jesus Christ. The bible is the word of God.

Not quite. In your quoting of me earlier I establish that Jesus is the fullest revelation of God or the Word of God. Everything that can be known of God is revealed in the Son. The Word of God in this sense is the second person in the Trinity. I differentiate that between a revelation of God which is the word of God or the bible. Thus Jesus is the Word as it states in John.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind.
Jesus is the fullest revelation of God. The bible is not the fullest revelation of God however it is the word of God because God speaks it to us. The bible is not synominous with Jesus. It is the revelation God shares with man however it is not the fullest revelation. That is in Jesus alone
If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.”...Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?
.

Now the second thing I tried to explain to you is the relationship of the Son of God with the Father and the Holy Spirit in the Trinity. And how Jesus is fully divine and human at once.

All these things you have tried or is trying to explain to me,

did the Spirit of Truth teach you these things?

Yes or No.
