On Just WHAT ARe You basing Your Assurance Of salvation Upon?

I appeal to two scripture verses.
John 10:27-28 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.
And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish; neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
Romans 11:29 The gifts and the calling of God are without repentance.
If grace,faith and salvation are gifts, then God does not take them back.
Once we are in the the Lord's hand, he doesn't let them go.

I have full assurance of my salvation, based upon the scripturally supported truth that if I place my faith fully on Christ alone, for my hope of eternal life...

Based upon God's promises that whosoever calls upon the name of the Lord SHALL be saved. I'm a whosoever and I called. I base my assurance upon God's promise that "my sheep will hear my voice." I hear God's voice regularly. I am a daughter of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. There's no IF. :flower:
Amen to that. I would add Romans 8:16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God.

I base my assurance of salvation on God's promise written in His Word:
1 John 5:10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.
1 John 5:11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
1 John 5:12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
1 John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

God has not blessed me with a full assurance of faith though, I pray for it every day. But perhaps God has not given that assurance to the end that I have something to pray about!

Looking at all of the posters on this, best advice is to read and take to heart what the Bible says about "knowing" you have Eternal Life in Christ, and do not lean on your feelings, base it on your
erfection: as we all fall short even after being saved, and how you think God "feels" towards you, don't see Him loving you just if you do well one day, and not so weel the next!I don't base my salvation on a "what" but a "WHO".
My salvation is based on the work of Christ done on my behalf and faith in that work.
I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for ME!

I could write much on this, years ago I went through a real crisis of faith. My problem was understanding what faith is. I knew if I "believed" on Jesus I would be saved, but I didn't know "how" to believe. What does that mean?
I thought faith meant this continual confidence, and some folks seemed to have this, but I often doubted and had fear. I wanted to be confident like others, but the more I tried, the more I feared. I prayed and prayed for many months about this, it became an obsession and I could think of little else. People who knew me knew I was deeply troubled, but no one could help me.
I finally discovered God in his mercy has explained what faith and believeing is in many ways so all may understand.
Jn 6:37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.
Believeing in Jesus is coming to him. It is coming to him in your heart for salvation. How do you do this? You simply cry out. He hears you and will receive you.
Rev 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock; if any man hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
Believeing is opening the door of your heart and inviting Jesus in, it is an decision of the will. Do you sincerely want Jesus to come into your heart? If so, he knows and has already come in.

Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.
By the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Spirit; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;

I base my assurance on Jesus Christ who pardoned all of my sins, and blotted them out with His blood!
I base my assurance on the fact when I lay day to go to sleep, I have a peace now, that I did not have before He saved me, a poor sinner.
I base my assurance on the fact that I can feel Him "moving" in me, feeling the "chill"(A good feeling!!!), and the goose bumps when I am driving, at work, at church, and even at home.
I base my assurance on the fact when I was deep down in sin, and I cried out from the depths of my broken heart, that He heard my cries, and He came in, bound up the strong man, cast him out, spoiled his goods, and came in and took up His abode forevermore!!
I base my assurance on the fact that He knows me as His son, and that He is my Father!!

I believe the first line of that hymn is:
"My hope is built on nothing less" ... not "based"
