Jesus and Paul weren't systematic theologians. Good try though.
I'd say Calvin is in the discussion with Augustine, Aquinas, Duns Scotus, and Peter Lombard.
I would disagree with him rather strongly on the subjects of baptism and ecclesiology.If not, why would that be?
For sure! That he could bring such a systematized view to the Scriptures so soon after the Reformation is remarkable, but today we stand on giants' shoulders and so we can see further than they (so long as we keep looking in the right direction).Even if you disagree with his teachings, wasn't he still a good to great theologian?
Paul might get offended at that, as his Romans finest "theology" work ever written!
